Overview of Tri Trang beach near Patong. Review of Tri Trang beach near Patong Tri Trang beach reviews

I greet and envy everyone going to Thailand. We vacationed in February 2012. The hotel is excellent, we took the Deluxe Sea View room - the room is huge with a stunning view of the sea. About the standard ones, I can say that you can get in with a view of a construction site, chickens, etc., so it’s better not to pinch the extra 6-8 thousand and take it with a 100% view of the sea. In terms of location, it is very advantageous to be 5-7 minutes drive from Patong, because... It's really a madhouse there. We went there to hang out in the evening and then returned to our quiet nest to sleep in full...

Hotel reviews 2011 of the year

This is my second trip to Thailand. But it was the first time on the island of Phuket. I'll tell you a little about the hotel. Rest time from 02/04/11 to 02/18/11. The hotel is very decent for its troika. We lived in a building near the reception and the balcony overlooked the jungle. capturing a small piece of sea and beach. audibility is simply excellent, we heard all the neighbors above and below, and even those. who lived across the room. But this did not interfere with rest. since at night almost everyone sleeps in this hotel, and we came mainly under...

Hotel reviews 2010 of the year

The flight on the Transaero plane was 9 hours. During the entire journey, we were given drinks 2 times and good food 2 times (dinner, breakfast), bags with synthetic terry socks, goggles for sleeping, and blankets. We arrived in Phuket at about 8 am on November 19, 2010 for 11 days and 10 nights. Run and run through registration and Passport Control to the bus and to the hotels. At the Tri trang 3* hotel we were immediately checked into a beautiful room overlooking the sea and the pool. It is difficult to name the floor of accommodation because... the body is attached to the...

EXCELLENT HOTEL, not at all 3* in the sense of Egypt, Turkey, Europe..., although according to Thai traditions it is 3*. Excellent Service for money equal to a holiday in Egypt. The location is great, it’s a stone’s throw from Patong, considering the free shuttle - in general, everything is super. I'm overwhelmed with emotions because... I was going to Egypt on February 23, but they suggested Thailand. Dear Euroset, well done guys, we don’t just sell phones at low prices. I looked for a last minute special offer on the website and decided to give up, packing my suitcases on the way to the airport...

Tri Trang Beach (Phuket, Thailand): description, video, photo

Tri Trang Beach is located in the southwest of Phuket Island in Thailand and follows the popular and bustling Patong Beach.

This is a medium-sized beach, its length is approximately 730 meters! Tri Trang Beach is very cozy, beautiful and comfortable - it’s a good place to relax!

This is not the most popular beach on the island, so there are not many tourists here, and since the coastline is quite wide, you can always find a place in the sun here. You can also find a place in the shade - a casuarina forest belt has been left here, which casts a natural shadow on the beach.

There are no sun loungers or umbrellas here that you can rent. But there is a swing and a local attraction - an elephant, with which you can swim in the sea (from 500 baht). Therefore, it will be interesting and fun for both adults and children!

Mixed tree species combined with the sea breeze make the air here special, enriching the blood with oxygen and slightly intoxicating. Soft sand, depending on the intensity of sunlight, changes from light gray to white; lying on it is a pleasure! The entrance to the sea is very comfortable, the depth is average, the water is clear. There are no low tides here and you can swim all day. The beach is notable for the fact that you can swim here, this is due to the fact that there is a reef here that dampens the waves before they approach the shore.

In the west of the beach there is a cozy area where, under the shade of a growing tree, you can take a break from people, be alone with your thoughts, the sound of the sea and the wind blowing your hair. Well-known places in Thailand, for example, Patong Beach, will definitely not be able to please you with this. At this point, Tri Thang Beach ends with a rocky mountain, beyond which there is no possibility to pass.

In the east, the beach is crowded: due to the hotel located here. There is a special area for swimming.

In the center there is a swing where you can ride while watching the endless waves.

What to do on Tri Trang Beach (Phuket) in the dry and rainy season

Here you can swim for fun, explore the seabed and its inhabitants with the help of a mask and snorkel (c), swing on a swing, rent a canoe and sail towards the waves. There are also many attributes for active recreation. Play mini-football, volleyball or swim with an elephant! Also, massage services are provided here (from 300 baht for a full body massage (45 minutes)).

Hotels on Tri Trang Beach (Thailand, Phuket)

As for the area where the beach is located, it belongs to the expensive areas of the island. But, in principle, it is possible to find housing here at not the highest prices on the island.

Directly on the coast there is a four-star hotel in the mid-price category: Tri Trang Beach Resort. A little to the east is the four-star At Zea Hotel, which is a little more expensive.

Hotel prices will depend on the season. In high season the price will be 100%. During the low season, the price can drop by up to 70%.

Where to eat in Tri Trang

There is not such a wide selection of cafes and restaurants as in the famous resort of Patong, but there are several places where you can eat great. Basically, all restaurants are located on the territory of the hotels located here. They offer you alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and Thai cuisine in abundance. Also, before eating, you can refresh yourself with fresh juice.

Three Trang is about 700-800 meters long and about 15 meters wide. The entry into the water is gentle, the water is very clear and downright pleasant! The sand is fine and beige, and the trees on the shore provide good shade.

Gorgeous water!

It’s not like there are very few people, but not too many people, you can move away and not lie on each other’s heads.

Right side of the beach

Left side of the beach

For me personally, a big plus is the absence of any salespeople, you can relax peacefully, and no one will try to sell you unnecessary goods every 5 minutes. Another undoubted advantage is that Tri Trang is located far from the road, and the noise of cars is not heard here.

Tri Trang Beach is suitable for families with children, as it is protected from rocks - there are no large waves here even in the low season, when the elements are raging on the neighboring beaches.

Another feature is the strong tides, making swimming impossible. Even at high tide, a more convenient place for swimming is in the northern part of the beach.

Fun on the beach

For entertainment in Tri Trang, you can rent a so-called jet-ski or jet ski, ride a banana boat or ride a board. In addition, you can come and snorkel because the water is clear and there are a lot of marine life.

Some kind of special board with pedals. This is the first time I've seen something like this :)

For those who simply want to sunbathe, it is possible to rent sun loungers for 100 baht per day, although you can bring your own mat or towel and lie on them.

There are also several bars and restaurants, massage parlors where you can relax under the skillful hands of Thai masseuses. There is even a volleyball net on the beach.

In general, there’s not much to do here other than relax on the beach, but that’s good! For all the fun, head to neighboring Patong.

Swimming on a mattress is great!

The place where you need to turn right from the main road looks like this. It's difficult to drive through:

Tri Trang Beach in Phuket, (Phuket, Thailand) - location, description, opening hours, entertainment and infrastructure. Useful tips and practical information from “Subtleties of Tourism”.

  • Last minute tours Worldwide

Tri Trang Beach, located in one of the most popular resorts in the Land of Smiles - Phuket, is hidden from numerous human eyes and only a few tourists know about it. A few years ago, only local and “initiated” guests rested on it. This is probably why it is considered one of the cleanest, most well-groomed and comfortable beaches on the island. Even its name is translated from Thai as “crystal clear”.

The coastline of Tri Trang is replete with shady trees, decorated with huge green crowns, the clearest azure water pleases the eye and caresses the body, and the beach itself is thoroughly imbued with silence and an atmosphere of calm and well-being. This is the reason why parents and children, lovers of relaxation and those who want to escape from their boring everyday life, at least for a while, love to spend time here.

At the same time, Tri Trang Beach is not deprived of the benefits of modernity: here you will find authentic tropical cafes where you will be offered a wide range of soft drinks, several wonderful restaurants with a menu of Asian and European cuisines and, of course, more than one place where you can stop for night or several days. It is also important that both travelers who want to save money and connoisseurs of luxury apartments will be able to find accommodation.

Beach Features

First of all, it is worth noting that the coastal waters of Tri Trang are rich in corals and stunning marine flora and fauna, which is why they are a real find for lovers of diving and snorkeling. If you wish, you can rent special equipment or book a tour that includes diving and snorkeling. There is also the opportunity to ride the waves on a scooter and water skis, ride a banana boat or rent a kayak, paraglid, play volleyball or lie down for an hour or two enjoying a real Thai massage.

And after a hot day, just go to the bar on the shore and, after dipping your feet, pleasantly burned by the hot sand, into the cool water, order an invigorating mojito or pina colada, and enjoy the enchanting fire show. By the way, if you are a fan of nightlife, know that after sunset professional musicians play in restaurants, and on weekends there are discos right on the beach. If you want to change the scenery and unwind, visit the nearby Bangla Road promenade, where life is in full swing until late at night.

But during high tides, the Andaman Sea is quiet and calm, favorable for swimming for children.

How to get there

From Phuket Airport, the distance to Tri Trang Beach is approximately 35 km. From neighboring Patong you can get to the beach in two ways. The first way is more civilized. On the southern side of Patong, the road leads across the bridge, driving along it to the neighboring cape for about 6 km, you can get directly to the Tri Trang Beach Resort hotel. There is a shower and parking for motorbikes and cars. The second entrance to the beach is located near a huge tree, at least three meters in diameter. Here you can park on the side of the road and walk through a hole in the fence to the beach.

Description

Tri Trang Beach is also called Emerald Beach, which is the name of the bay on the island of Phuket. Tri Trang translates to “crystal clear.” Thais often call it “Tri Tra”, which means “Emerald”. Not so long ago, only local residents knew about this beach, having picnics under the shade of the trees. Nowadays, this once wild place has been taken over by civilization. Hotels and cafes appeared on the shore. Although the beach has become more visited, there are very few casual people here. Mostly it is visited by vacationers from local hotels.

The strip of sand is quite wide. Tall trees grow on the shore, creating good shade during the hottest time of the day. The sand is fine, the sea water is clear. The entrance to the sea is comfortable and shallow, which is good for swimming children. It is better to swim on the north side of the beach. At low tide, swimming is impossible, as the water can move 50-70 m from the shore, exposing an uneven bottom with reefs and stones. Some vacationers move around these reefs as a form of entertainment, collecting shells.

According to reviews, Tri Trang Beach is well suited for off-season holidays on the island. Phuket, that is, from May to October. Those wishing to relax in a calm, quiet environment will appreciate this secluded place.

On Tri Trang beach there are several restaurants and hotels, and a massage parlor. Although the beach is municipal, umbrellas and sunbeds are paid, their rental will cost 200 baht. For active recreation, appropriate equipment is available for rent: water skis, jet skis, paragliders, snorkeling sets. At the beach cafe there live small elephants who take children for rides during the day, swim in the sea, bringing joy to the kids.

There are no attractions on Tri Trang Beach, but by walking or driving to Patong Beach, you can visit the zoo, Chalong Temple, and the butterfly garden. rich in beautiful beaches such as or. But Tri Trang, with its privacy, also finds its admirers who come here all the time. Among the advantages of the beach, many note the absence of waves, which is surprising compared to Karon and Patong.

Among the main disadvantages of the beach are the low tides. Already 20 meters from the shore there are dead corals that can cause injury to the elbows, knees and feet of vacationers. Although the entrance to the sea itself is sandy and flat, it is convenient to swim here, but in some places on the beach it is dangerous to move along the bottom without shoes because of the corals. Injuries occur most often when the water moves away from the shore and you have to swim where there are corals at the bottom.

Hotels

There are several hotels on Tri Trang Beach. They are located on the side closest to Patong. As a rule, these are inexpensive multi-story hotels with swimming pools. The terraces and rooftops offer beautiful views of the Andaman Sea and green hills. Among the hotels in Tri Trang you can name such as Tri Trang Beach Resort (more expensive), Blue Ocean Beach Resort Tri Trang 4* (cheaper).

Small hotel Blue Ocean Beach Resort(Phuket) is located on the 1st line, 200 m from the water. It has 33 rooms, all rooms have balconies, bathrooms, TVs, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel has its own beach and swimming pool.

From the reviews of this hotel you can understand that the pool is old, with dilapidated steps, but it is open 24 hours a day. Although the beach is private, it is not very clean and there are no sun loungers on it. Breakfast is monotonous. There are no shops or cafes within walking distance; taking a taxi to the neighboring beaches is expensive. There is free transport to the Jangceylon shopping center. There are many rave reviews about the luxurious views that open from the hotel windows. You don’t have to turn on the air conditioning at night, leave the windows open and breathe in the salty smell of the sea surf.

Much more positive reviews about the hotel Tri Trang Beach Resort 3*(Phuket), which is located in close proximity to the sea, in a park area. Its opening date was 2005; restoration was carried out in 2011. The total area occupied by the hotel exceeds 11 thousand square meters. m. It is located on the mountainside, in a secluded place, but at the same time a 10-minute drive from the Patong promenade, where you can find a lot of nightlife.

Many tourists from Russia relax at the Tri Trang Hotel. There is a small village nearby. The hotel has several buildings; the 5th building is located at the highest point. From the terrace of this building you can clearly see the sea, nearby hills, the Thai village and the road to Patong.

The hotel has its own beach. There are three swimming pools on the territory, near which vacationers can spend time during low tides. The standard room has a bathroom with shower, King-size bed, TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, balcony or terrace.

In the reviews, vacationers note that the 2nd building is the best, the 4th is called the worst, with a view of the village and roosters crowing in the morning. Many people speak well of massage treatments. Although they cost 450 baht at the hotel, they are much more effective than on the beach for 300 baht. There is a hotel restaurant on the seashore.

Among the advantages of the hotel, tourists note the following:

  • very good location near the sea, among trees, away from noise;
  • private beach;
  • quiet place;
  • purity;
  • landscaping;
  • good restaurant;
  • free Wi-Fi;
  • breathtaking sea views from the terraces and windows of the rooms.

In the restaurant, tourists receive buffet breakfast; if desired, they can also have lunch and dinner here. At the same time, some hotel guests were dissatisfied with the fact that, apart from this restaurant with high prices, there are no other, more budget-friendly food outlets within walking distance. Taking a taxi to other sites is expensive. True, there is free transport to Patong, which departs 2 times a day, but it is always crowded, as there are too many people wanting it. Evening transfers for those who like to have fun in clubs are not organized.

Among the disadvantages of the hotel are also the following:

  • although there is an elevator, you need to climb too many stairs to get to the beach;
  • the service leaves much to be desired, the rooms are not cleaned very thoroughly;
  • There are no shops near the hotel, the nearest cafe is a 20-30 minute walk;
  • Air conditioners in the rooms are installed above the beds.
