A simple water-filling float. Equipment for fishing on top Simple water-filled float

Streamlined body asp looks like a rocket: powerful and swift. Artificial baits should match it - just as fast. Rotating spoons with an elongated narrow petal have a higher rotation speed than those equipped with wide petals. The upper mouth of the asp indicates that it picks up prey from the surface of the water. True, in the fall this fish is often caught at great depths. You can try there too...

Bleak colony

Where a lot of bleak is caught, asp is most likely found. It thrives in the flow of large rivers, but can also be found in bays, especially at the confluence of streams. A reliable bait is a dead bleak on a single hook of a float rig, which is used to fish the near-surface layer.

High-speed wiring

Asp baits should be cast quickly. When wiring, they should go close to the surface of the water. For such fishing, it is recommended to use a reel with a high gear ratio (6:1). Soft monofilament line will dampen hard bites and powerful jerks during fishing.

Asp "blende"

Asp baits should not have a sophisticated design, but “long-range”, since you often have to make fairly long casts. One of the best spinning baits for asp is considered to be a combination of a simple “olive” sinker and a tee.

Some amateur fishermen put another head tee on such large baits, so that even those silver “fighters” that grab the “decoy” from the front are reliably detected.

With special effect

Fishing with a water ball and fly can be exciting and catchy. A transparent float half filled with water (preferably oval-shaped) provides casting range, and the streamer (mostly white) next 1 m behind it serves as bait. A ball splashing on the water when quickly reeling in from afar attracts the attention of the asp. Be careful when casting! Before the rig falls into the water, you need to slow down the line with your index finger, otherwise it may get tangled.

Ball for asp

To cast a small artificial bait over a long distance, when When catching asp, they use a transparent float - a water ball.

Most fish, as a rule, immediately scatter if any object, like a bulldozer, passes through the water. Asps, on the contrary, will swim and curiously begin to look at what is hiding behind the bow wave and bubbles, and when they see a fly plowing the water, they grab it! The best results were oval, transparent water balls with a fishing line running through them. Using rubber stoppers, you can quickly change the distance between the ball and the bait: depending on the bite, the length of the leash is 70-120 cm. Of the heavy water balls designed for long casts, models with an insert that fixes the fishing line are best suited. But be careful! If the ball moves several times, for example, when fishing, a defect will quickly form on the fishing line.

Installation of equipment

Secure it to the fishing line between two rubber stoppers. Heavy water beads are secured using a swivel and a buffer bead above it, or use a water bead with an insert that secures the line.

To prevent the bait from catching on the leash, hold the line with your index finger when casting (arrow a). The leash is pulled out and the bait flies in front of the water ball (arrow b).

Nowadays, fishing as a hobby is not losing popularity at all, so avid fishermen are coming up with more and more different devices, and one of them is a water-filled float. Such gear more effectively signals that prey has been hooked when fishing for fish that live in the upper layers of the reservoir. A similar model of float was used by ancient people, and modern fishermen have improved this device.

A water-filling float as an equipment is a small transparent spherical capsule, which has two ears, as well as two holes that are necessary to fill the float with water and release air; they are closed with small rubber plugs. Fishermen use a liquid float when they fish with a small bait that weighs quite little.

The design of such a device is quite simple; you can purchase it in a store or make it yourself.

The advantages of such a device as a water-filling float:
  1. Thanks to its transparent color and round shape, this tackle resembles an ordinary bubble, one of those that constantly forms on the water. Consequently, the fish are less afraid and become much easier to lure.
  2. Once in the water, the light box makes a certain noise, similar to the sounds that the fish themselves make when swimming in the water.
  3. Large size with low weight. The large dimensions of this gear help the fisherman not to lose sight of it on the water.
  4. When casting a fishing rod, the bait will gradually sink into the water, and not along a strictly straight path, so the fish will see this as a normal fall of food.
  5. In the warm season, especially during the period of flowering of reservoirs, the activity of fish decreases, so they may not respond to a stationary bait. And thanks to the water-filled light float, the bait will constantly move slowly and naturally.

What you will need for production:

  • deodorant ball. They come in different sizes, but it is best to choose the smallest one, since its dimensions correspond to the actual size of the bubbles that appear on the water. A large ball is suitable for making equipment that you will use in the dark with poor visibility;
  • an awl is necessary for making holes;
  • a refill from a regular pen for writing;
  • silicone stoppers.
Manufacturing procedure:
  1. Take a deodorant roll and wash it off the smell and deodorant residue.
  2. Using an awl, make symmetrical holes all the way through, comparable in diameter to the handle shaft.
  3. Melt one end of the rod with fire and slightly flatten it to form a “cap”.
  4. The other end of the rod must be trimmed, giving it a cone-shaped shape. Thus, it will act as a plug, as well as a tube for threading the fishing line. If you need to fill the float with water, you can simply pull out the tube.
  5. Limit the movement of the ball along the fishing line using silicone stoppers.

Equipping a fishing rod with such a float is quite simple: the role of the ears will be played by the ends of the rod, to which you can attach the necessary equipment.

Below we will talk about how to equip your fishing rod with a factory float.

How to properly equip a fishing rod with such tackle:
  1. To begin, take the main fishing line and place a carabiner on it.
  2. Then attach the spherical float to the carabiner.
  3. A leash must be connected to the second eye. The best way to do this is in a loop-to-loop manner.

It is best to start float fishing with liquid in the spring, when the water has already warmed up enough for the fish to begin to swim to the upper layers of the reservoir for food. In this case, fishing with a water-filled float will be much more productive. Below we describe in more detail how to fish with such equipment.

First of all, you need to fill the water alarm. To do this, open the holes by removing the rubber plugs. Fill the capsule to the required level. The more water, the faster the water-filling float will sink, which is very useful in windy weather, as it will be more difficult to deflate.

Tips for working with a water-filled float:
  1. If you are fishing on a river, then the current will help you keep the gear moving; your task is to sometimes let go of the line a little.
  2. When fishing on the lake, a slight breeze will help move the float, but if the weather is calm, then you can periodically release or reel in the line yourself.

A water-filling float transmits the necessary signal very well: as soon as the fish reacts to your bait, you will see characteristic circles on the water.

With the constant growth of people's interest in fishing, more and more new devices and gear are appearing, which significantly increase the efficiency and effectiveness of fishing. Today we’ll talk about one of these devices. This is a piece of equipment called a water-filling float.

What is a water-filling float

This universal device is a plastic spherical container approximately 3.5 cm in diameter. It is often used to throw light weight baits. And the weight of the sphere itself depends on how much water is taken into it. Such floats, as a rule, maintain balance, staying afloat and not diving deep into the water, therefore, in order to place the bait at a certain depth in the water column, it will be necessary to additionally load the float. Many fishermen rightly believe that such a water-filled float, due to its appearance, resembles an air bubble to the fish and therefore scares it much less than conventional gear. Perhaps this is why the color of such products is usually close to natural, or they are completely colorless. There are usually two ears located on the sides of the plastic container, while the float itself has two through holes, which must be closed with rubber plugs. Of particular interest to fishermen is the use of a water-filled float specifically for casting over long distances and for fishing with wires. Therefore, you should immediately install a spinning reel, but also good fishing results with a fishing line attached to the very tip of the rod.

Water-filling float

How to equip a fishing rod with a water-filled float

How to rig a fishing rod with this water-filled float? This is done quite simply.

To begin with, the main fishing line is attached to one eye. You can tie it in the usual way for you, but it would be more practical to use a carabiner for fastening, but before that you will need to check whether it is possible to thread the carabiner arc into the eye of the body. If everything works out, then you can attach the spherical body itself to the carbine. This mounting option is very convenient if during your fishing you plan to fish all the bottom layers. You will be able to quickly switch from a float to your other preferred floats or baits.

Next, you need to attach a leash to the second ear. A suitable way to do this is "loop to loop". The leash should not be too thick, since the objects of fishing with this tackle will be perch, bleak, rudd, chub, sabrefish, roach, etc. The fishing line should be 0.14-0.19 and length from 45 to 150 cm.

You should lightly load it closer to the hook with lead balls weighing a couple of grams. By using several of these weights, you can achieve a more even distribution of the load along the leash. “Gulp” type hooks are perfect for this type of gear. But this is a matter of taste, experience and preference.

How to catch

The process of fishing with such a float will not differ much from regular fishing, with the exception of one action. Before throwing bait into a pond in anticipation of a fish bite, it is better to first fill the float with water. To do this, you need to open both rubber plugs and immerse the plastic container under water. After the float is filled, you need to tightly close it with plugs so that they do not fall out during fishing and so that the tackle or main line does not cling to them. How much water is poured into the sphere will determine its weight and, accordingly, the distance over which it can be thrown. When the tackle hits the water, you will hear a noisy splash, which may scare away timid fish, but it will most likely attract a bleak. It is logical that the more water in the float’s capacity, the more it will sink into the water. Consequently, the windage will be reduced, which in windy weather will give a greater advantage than if you used an empty sphere. If you are fishing on a river, then the current itself will carry the bait, and you will only have to slowly let go of the line. On the lake you can periodically wind the line, and in case of light wind the effect will be the same as on the river.

Despite the apparent roughness of the bulb, which is filled with water, the float transmits bites very well. When the fish touches the leader, noticeable circles appear on the water, from which, with experience, you can determine the size of the fish and interest in the bait.

DIY water-filling float

If you want to try out this universal tackle, but there are no water-filled floats in the nearest store or you simply don’t want to spend money, then you can easily make such floats with your own hands. To do this, we will need a yellow box from a children's Kinder Surprise or any other plastic container of a spherical or elongated shape, a plastic Chupa Chups straw or a ballpoint pen refill and a round lead weight.

Using a lighter, you need to melt one end of the plastic rod so that a rim is formed, and punch holes in the center at both ends of the container with a diameter slightly less than the thickness of our tube. We flatten the lead spherical weight a little and drill it in the center so that a rod can be threaded through it. Next, we put half of the container on this rod, and then a lead ball and move it all to the rim on the tube. We put on the second half of the plastic container and melt the other end of the rod over the fire. That's all. All that remains is to adapt it all into the general gear, as described above.

Features of fishing on a water-filled float - Go fishing!

Home > Fishing techniques > Features of fishing with a water-filled float

Today I want to tell you about a rare, but truly universal tackle called a water-filling float. It looks like a plastic sphere, approximately 3.5 cm in diameter. There is an opinion that, under the surface tension film, such a float reminds the fish of an ordinary air bubble and therefore does not frighten it as much as ordinary gear. Perhaps, to make it look more like a bubble, the color of such products is most often completely transparent or light blue. There are two ears on the sides of the sphere, and in the float itself there are two holes closed with rubber plugs.

It is more interesting to use a water-filled float for long-distance casting and for fishing with wires. Therefore, we immediately focus on a spinning reel, although fishing with a rigid line fastening at the end of the rod is also possible.

Equipping your fishing rod with a water-filled float is quite simple. We hook the main line to one eye. You can simply tie it, but I like to put a carabiner on the main line (you must first check whether you can insert the arc of the carabiner into the eye of the float), and then fasten the sphere to the carabiner. This is very convenient if during fishing you want to fish the bottom layers. You can quickly switch to a jig head or a Tyrolean stick. A leash is attached to the second eye. I prefer the loop-to-loop method. Objects of our fishing: bleak, perch, rudd, roach, sabrefish, chub, etc. Therefore, the leash needs to be thin and gentle. Line 0.14-0.18. Length from 40 cm to 1.5 m. Closer to the hook, the load is in the form of a pellet of 2-3 grams. If desired, you can distribute the load more evenly along the leash by using a couple of pellets. I like to set very tiny hooks called gullet hooks. You can choose to your taste, but try to ensure that the tackle comes out harmonious.

And now comes the interesting part. Having put a worm or other bait on the hook, you can already cast it in search of a trophy. But it’s better to fill our float first. Open both rubber plugs and lower the plastic sphere completely under water. For the characteristic gurgling sound that we hear when filling, a water-filling float is also popularly called a bulba or gurgle. Don’t forget to close the caps tightly after filling. Otherwise, when casting, the main line and leader may overlap.

In many ways, the behavior of the bulb depends on the amount of water collected. His weight changes. Accordingly, the casting distance increases. Also, when splashing down the gear, you will hear a loud sound, which can frighten cautious fish. It only attracts bleak. I would like to note that the more the float is filled, the more it is immersed in water. Accordingly, the windage decreases and in windy weather it will be much less blown away than an empty bulb. On the river, the current itself carries the tackle with bait, your task is only to release the fishing line little by little. On the lake, instead of a current, a light breeze will help. You can also do the wiring yourself, periodically reeling in the fishing line. Sometimes this method is very effective. For example, if the object of the hunt is a small fish. Often she eats maggots so skillfully that from the outside it is completely unnoticeable. By periodically supporting the tackle, you will be able to detect this cunning one at the moment of its quiet cheating.

With the apparent roughness of the bulb, in particular, heavily filled with water, this float transmits bites very well. At the slightest touch of the fish to the leash, circles begin to disperse in the water. With experience, you will learn to recognize even the slightest fish interest in your bait.

And finally, I’ll tell you another interesting secret of this universal tackle. You don’t have to wrap the leash, but instead of a hook you can tie a fly, like the one used in fly fishing. Or, a very small wobbler. And your wonderful trout tackle is ready. Go for the trophies.

Rods and tackle work

You can begin successful fishing using a water-filled float in the spring after the water warms up, when, with the appearance of insects, fish rise to the surface in search of food. Such fishing ends after the arrival of autumn cold weather. Typical trophies of such a rig are bleaks, rudd, roaches, chubs, and less commonly roach, silver bream, carp, and crucian carp. However, surprises can also be expected when an underwater inhabitant such as a white bream, which is atypical for horseback fishing, is on the hook. This happens more often on rivers.

I don’t rule out good performance of a water-filled float with a fly rod rig, but it has its drawbacks. In particular, it is impossible to make long casts, and this is often necessary due to the fish being located at a considerable distance from the shore. For example, large lake bleak prefers the distant horizon, and on overgrown lakes at a great distance from the shore you can find boiling cauldrons of rudd.

Water-filling float-ball

For float fishing for fish that live in the upper layers of water, an excellent bite indicator is a rig with a water-filled ball float.

Having adopted the idea of their ancestors, who invented the water-filled ball float, today they produce various types of water-filled floats, even match ones. However, there is little real benefit from them; rather, they are a product for the sake of a product, while a ball float filled with water is a really smart invention.

Unlike a conventional float, a water-filled ball-shaped bite alarm is a spherical container made of transparent plastic that is filled with water. Due to this, the weight and stability of the float increase, allowing you to successfully fish over impressive distances. However, this model can be used without filling it with water. The casting distance will be reduced, but it will make less noise when landing. In addition, its resistance when biting will decrease, and then when the equipment is subsequently pulled out of the water. A sinker in tandem with such a float is not used. A leash with a length of 40 to 100 cm - depending on the fishing conditions. The hook is invariably small in size.

Such a float has several advantages. It scares fish that live in the upper layers of reservoirs less, since it is similar in appearance to a bubble that regularly appears on the water due to natural phenomena. Pisces do not perceive it as a foreign object and therefore do not feel the trick. In addition, when splashing down, the water-filling float makes a noise similar to what the fish itself usually makes during the period of active feeding. The impressive external dimensions allow the fisherman himself to easily see such a signaling device.

Another important detail is the ability to carry out successful fishing even without the use of complementary foods. In the warm season, especially in summer when water blooms and fish activity decreases, this is important. They can ignore stationary baits, but moving ones can arouse their interest. Moreover, after biting, the fish does not feel much resistance, since the equipment does not have a load, as mentioned above.

When using a water-filling float, the abandoned bait slowly and smoothly sinks into the water, giving the fish the illusion of regular food falling. In this case, the immersion trajectory of the bait is not strictly vertical, but occurs along an arc caused by the presence of a leash, which in practice encourages fish to grab.

Bubble designs

In the factory version, the water-filling float is a composite container with two ears. The end of the main line is tied to one of them, and the leash to the second. To fill with water and release air, there are two holes in the alarm, which, after completing the procedure, are plugged with soft plastic plugs. However, despite the modern design, I am more impressed by the float, which I make myself from an ordinary roll-on deodorant and a pen refill. There are several reasons for this. The first is that it has a matte color, and after it gets into the water, the float looks transparent. Excellent camouflage. The second is more weight with a small size. The third is high strength. The fourth is the ability to pass the fishing line through the body without unnecessary knots, which improves the balance and strength of the equipment. And fifth, such a float does not have line overlaps, since there is simply nothing for it to cling to, which cannot be said about the factory design.

Making a water-filling float from a deodorant ball is as easy as pie. Initially, it is possible to select “raw materials” of the required size. I know of three balls of different diameters used in deodorants, and I consider the smallest one to be the most popular, because its size corresponds to the size of real bubbles appearing in water. At the same time, its own weight, coupled with the sphere filled up to half with water, makes it possible to fish the coastal zone without effort. Larger balls are good for casting over long distances, especially in poor visibility conditions.

I remove the ball from the used bottle and wash it well to remove the smell. I make a through hole with an awl comparable in size to the rod, since with this option it will subsequently narrow and press tightly. The factory mark at the junction of the two hemispheres of the ball helps to symmetrically punch a hole.

I first melt one end of the rod with a lighter and flatten the end on a flat surface to form a hat. Subsequently, I restore the slightly swollen hole by turning it with the tip of a knife. Having inserted the rod into the hole until it touches the cap, I cut off the opposite part with a knife, leaving the end a few millimeters long. I cut this end into a cone, so that later it will be convenient to insert and remove the tube when filling the sphere with water. As a result, the tube simultaneously serves as both a float plug and a channel for passing the fishing line. The water-filled bite alarm is ready, the whole job takes no more than 5 minutes.

To fill the ball with water, simply pull out the tube and lower the sphere into the water. Having collected the required amount of liquid, I close the holes again with a rod-tube. Considering that during fishing such an operation sometimes has to be performed repeatedly, increasing or decreasing the amount of water inside the ball, I do not make blind equipment. After passing the fishing line through the ball float, I limit its movement along the fishing line on both sides with silicone stoppers. He lifted the top stopper, poured in water and again moved the stopper towards the ball. In addition, the lower stopper also acts as a bump stop, since I tie a small swivel to the fishing line and attach the leash to it.

This design additionally allows the equipment to be used as a sliding one, for which it is enough to move the upper stopper along the line. However, judging by my practice, this only makes sense when fishing with a short cast, when there is good visual control of both the float and the line. If the bite is weak, it is better to experiment with the length and thickness of leashes, baits, etc.

Rods and tackle work

You can begin successful fishing using a water-filled float in the spring after the water warms up, when, with the appearance of insects, fish rise to the surface in search of food. Such fishing ends after the arrival of autumn cold weather. Typical trophies of such equipment are bleaks, rudd, roaches, chubs, less often roach, silver bream, carp, crucian carp. However, surprises can also be expected when an underwater inhabitant such as a white bream, which is atypical for horseback fishing, is on the hook. This happens more often on rivers.

But the advantage of equipment with a water-filled float is not only the ability to conduct a targeted hunt for riding fish. This equipment allows you to quickly catch live bait without requiring you to take care of it in advance. Right on a pike spot you can easily catch several bleaks without any significant time investment and then use them as bait for spotted predators. Or, after unsuccessfully catching predators with a spinning rod, quickly rebuild the equipment and catch, albeit not large, but still fish. Baits for such fishing can be prepared in advance or found near a water body. There are plenty of bugs, grasshoppers and other insects. As a result, you will be able to take your soul away and return home with the catch.

Any spinning rod is perfect for working with water-filling equipment, but taking into account its lightness, light will be a priority. A braided cord wound on a reel spool, especially if it is thin (0.06, -0.10 mm), works no worse than monofilament. To prevent it from sinking, you can use a special gel. For this option, a pre-made tackle from a half-meter piece of fishing line with a water-filled float, stoppers, a swivel and a leash will not be superfluous. On a pond, all that remains is to connect it with a braided cord, repurposing the spinning rod.

But this is all for an emergency, when you don’t have a profile rod at hand, which I prefer to have in my arsenal for light-weight rigs. It is a lightweight Bologna-type fishing rod with guides 3.6–4 m long. I equip it with a miniature spinning reel or an inertial “Luck” type (A-Elita). In both cases, monofilament with a cross section of 0.12–0.14 mm as the main one and 0.08–0.10 mm as the leader is suitable for winding on them. It is even better to use fluorocarbon fishing line as both the main and leader line, because due to the light refractive index close to the medium, it is invisible in the water. In addition, it does not rub off on stones, cattails and reeds, where fishing most often takes place; does not lose its qualities in the sun. Well, it practically does not stretch, which allows you to perform high-quality hooks when fishing at an impressive distance from the shore.

In order to make casting easier, it is better to position yourself on the windward side. Then the wind blowing from the back will contribute to an accurate throw. The pond itself will tell you where to throw it. There are many promising landmarks. First of all, this is aquatic vegetation, snags and boulders protruding from the water, floating islands, etc. In clear water, the border of the near edge, visible to a trained eye, water areas near riffles, micropools, etc., are attractive. When the fishing range is impressive, and vision does not allow one to clearly distinguish bites , the float can be painted in a bright color, say red or yellow.

In difficult conditions with an increased risk of snagging, it is useful to clip the line or slow it down with your finger after casting, but before the float splashes down. To me, the second option seems more rational, since fishing is associated with constant movements: there is no fishing in one sector and water areas of different distances are fished from each place on the shore.

Even a far-abandoned water-filling float is clearly visible from afar against the background of the water and therefore there is no difficulty in controlling the bite. When this happens, the ball begins to dance on the water, forming circles. Then it gradually moves to the side, signaling the need to perform a short but sharp hook. If a fish is spotted, I fish it out; if not, I act depending on the bait. When there is a shitfish or other delicate larva on the hook, a recast is required, because the bait on the hook will be nothing but scraps. When there is maggot, you can take your time and let the bait stay in the water for some more time. Even when sucked, it can attract the attention of fish. However, regardless of the bait, you should follow the rule of bringing the hook tip out. This will not negatively affect the number of bites, but their quality will definitely increase.

A water-filled float involves active fishing, so after casting and no bites, it is useful to set the equipment in motion, making smooth pulls that wind the bait on the hook, forcing it to rise and float in the water again. During these periods, the probability of bites increases significantly.

A water-filled float is also suitable for fishing on top of a wire. Possessing stability and weight, it moves well along the river stream, carrying the line from the reel with it.

There is a practice of installing a second leash on a rig with a water-filling float. Usually it is made much shorter than the first one so that it gets less confused. It is either attached to the same eye of the swivel as the long leash, or installed higher in the form of a branch. The advantage of this design is that it is possible to quickly identify the coolest bait, and during the feeding period of the same bleak or rudd, catch two fish at a time. I believe that such an improvement will be of little use, since the equipment will inevitably get confused, forcing you to waste time putting it in order. In addition, several individuals caught while fishing at the same time are unlikely to be worth several dozen blurred hooks due to parallel twitching of the baits. It is better to use one leash. Pleasure comes first, fish is secondary!

Sbirulino (or as it is also called “bombarda”)- a special float for spinning fishing, which has its own weight and is intended only for loading your light equipment equipped with flies, light twisters and wobblers.

Thanks to sbirulino, you can throw a bait weighing less than a gram over a hundred meters and move it near the surface of the water, in the depths or even along the bottom.

Sbirulino float: types and types

Sbirulino floats have three types of buoyancy:

  • floating (does not sink in water);
  • medium buoyancy (sinks very, very slowly);
  • drowning (drowning in water).

By choosing a floating sbirulino, you will be placing the bait almost at the surface of the water. While sinking will allow the bait to sink to the bottom.

There are also different types of float loading:

  • with built-in lead sinker inside;
  • with a cavity inside the float that is filled with water from the reservoir before fishing.

There is no fundamental difference in the practical application of these varieties.

Tackle

Rod
It is advisable to use a long one, from 3 to 5-6 meters. The structure is parabolic, which will allow you to make long casts with a heavy Sbirulino float. The test should not be lower than the weight of the float. Often, 40-50 grams of dough is enough.

Coil- regular spinning (adjusted clutch, spool capacity per 100 meters of line 0.25).

fishing line— it is better to use braid, because fishing is carried out with a bite on the tip of the rod and you cannot be late with hooking. Braided line does not stretch when stretched and is therefore preferred. But using monofilament is also appropriate.

Sbirulino can be of various sizes, it all depends on the casting distance you need. Typically, floats weighing no more than 40 grams are chosen.

Leash. Fluorocarbon is often used as a leader line due to its invisibility for fish in the water. The length of such a leash is from 1.5 meters to 3 meters. This length is due to the fear that the float may scare the fish, so it should be located away from the bait.

Hooks (subject to fishing with natural bait). Depends on the size of the fish (any of the hooks used should easily fit into the fish’s mouth). And, of course, they must be sharp.

Swivels. The classic rig uses a triple swivel. It provides 100% protection against line twisting. Flies and other lures often twist the line too much. If you don't have a triple swivel, try connecting 2-3 swivels to the fasteners.

Wobbler YO-ZURI L-Minnow 44 is a medium-sized wobbler that performs well when fishing with sbirulino.

Equipment

There are quite a lot of all kinds of equipment with such a heavy float. With a large number of hooks both before and after sbirulino. But we will look at the classic equipment, and adjusting it to a large number of hooks will not be difficult.

Installation of sbirulino:

  1. A sbirulino float is put on the main line.
  2. Then there is a rubber stopper that will prevent the heavy float from hitting the knot that attaches the carabiners to the fishing line.
  3. Behind the stopper there is a swivel or a series of swivels of three pieces (without carabiners you will not be able to connect three swivels manually, so it is best to buy a ready-made chain of three swivels, and it is not recommended to use fasteners, they are too cumbersome), as already mentioned, this prevents crazy twisting the line.
  4. Next is a leash with a length of 1.5 to 3 meters.
  5. A fly or any other bait is tied to the end. Also used as bait is a hook with natural bait (maggot, worm, corn, insects).

This rig has a leash after the sbirulino, but there are rigs in which the sbirulino is the end point of the fishing line, and before it there is a fishing line made of leash material, which has several leashes with flies.

It is possible to load your light bait, such as a fly, with a small lead shot. This will allow you to deepen the fly a little while fishing when fishing on surface sbiruline.

Lures for rigging with sbirulino

  • flies;
  • small twisters, vibrotails, foam fish;
  • foam balls;
  • wobblers (usually surface);
  • almost any animal and plant attachments.

Dry flies and streamers are the most popular baits when fishing for sbirulino.

Fishing technique

First of all, bombarding still implies surface fishing and you can look for fish in shallow water, or you can catch exclusively riding fish.

Lure. When fishing with sbirulino, bait is not always used, but it is really better to collect white fish at one point using bait.

When there is a current, use clay to create a mixture with bait so that the balls do not get carried away by the current. In still water everything is much simpler.

Some fish simply react to inedible dregs. Throw a little sand or light fine soil into the water and the riding fish will quickly come to life at the intended point.

Wiring. After casting, a lot depends on the wiring and there are several wiring styles:

  1. Very slow uniform wiring.
  2. Retrieving with the tip of the rod moving 2-3 meters, then returning to the starting point, reeling in with a reel, the bait is in place at this time.
  3. Slow wiring with twitching.

The frequency and amplitude of twitching must be obtained in practice while fishing. An important parameter is the game of the bait. If the twister you are using does not play with its tail when moving slowly, increase the speed, or make the tail lighter and wriggling. All you have to do is load it with pellets or a more or less large sinker, but make sure that your float does not sink, if, of course, you are aiming to make a floating bombard.

  • The second way is to make a foam bombard. It can be hard, or it can be soft. To prevent the fish from being scared by the bright white color (and it is known to reflect light very strongly and is most noticeable in the water), try covering such a float with either a dark cloth or painting it with a waterproof black marker.
  • A sbirulino float can be made from a syringe. You will only need to drill a couple of holes in the opposite sides of the syringe and sbirulino, the main load of which is a cavity filled with water - you are ready.

    Until recently, the Sbirulino float was in the shade and was not used by many fishermen. Even now it is not so popular, but it is clearly underestimated. It has no disadvantages, but a lot of advantages. Try it and see for yourself. We will be glad to hear your experience in the comments.
