What to take with you on a fishing trip. Fishing with an overnight stay

For many representatives of the stronger half of humanity, fishing is a part of their life. This is due, first of all, to the hunter’s instinct: men have been producing food for their families for many centuries.

At the same time, some fishermen prefer only the summer fishing season, and only a small part of them fish all year round, including in winter. Many people are afraid of weather conditions and the fear of being on ice. But if you take winter fishing seriously, the catch can be no less than in spring, summer or autumn. In addition, being on ice will not be so dangerous.

Winter fishing is a very serious activity that requires a careful approach to the organization process. It requires the following equipment:

  • In winter, you should make sure you have thermal underwear and warm clothes, as well as warm shoes and a warm hat.
  • Make or purchase gear for winter fishing in the store. As a rule, it is enough to make or purchase a winter fishing rod.
  • We should not forget that you will have to hit holes, therefore, tools such as a stump and an ice ax are simply necessary. It would be better if you also got an ice drill.
  • Without bait and groundbait, no fish have been caught lately. Therefore, you need to think about what kind of bait and groundbait you will need to take with you.
  • Every winter fishing enthusiast should have a fishing box where fish and fishing accessories are stored.
  • To make fishing comfortable, you need a folding chair. Many anglers use a fishing box for this, building a soft seat on the lid.
  • Fish should not be thrown onto ice, especially in severe frost: it will simply freeze to it. As a rule, anglers immediately throw the fish into the box.
  • To quickly clear the hole of small ice chips, you will need a scoop with holes.
  • An echo sounder will not hurt, with the help of which it is easy to find fish sites, especially large ones.
  • In winter, fish need to be fed. For this, it is advisable to have a feeder.
  • When catching large fish, you simply cannot do without a tool such as a hook.
  • To store bloodworms (the main bait in winter), you must have a special container.
  • To make fishing comfortable, you need to take care of protection from wind or precipitation. A tent will help solve this problem.
  • The tent should be equipped with a camping mat, which will reduce fatigue from prolonged sitting.
  • As a rule, fishermen often think about their safety and take various devices with them in case they fall through the ice. Therefore, you need to think or get advice on what is better and more effective.
  • If there is deep snow, it is quite difficult to move around the reservoir. Therefore, it is better to use a fishing sled or snowmobile.
  • You also cannot do without a backpack or duffel bag, since you must always take with you a spare set of warm underwear and clothes in case the main set gets wet.
  • It is very important to provide yourself with a warm drink in the cold, and only a thermos can help here. By the way, you can also take a warm lunch in a thermos if you plan to go fishing for a long time.
  • You will need items such as rope and candles.

Naturally, clothing is considered the main element of winter fishing. If clothes do not warm up properly, the fisherman risks freezing and getting sick. Hypothermia is always not advisable.

What clothes should be:

  • If you wear clothes, then only heat-saving ones.
  • An equally important factor is moisture resistance.
  • You should also pay attention to its wind resistance.
  • There should not be a lot of clothing, otherwise it will be difficult to move around the pond.

With the advent of thermal underwear on the market, which retains heat very well, there is no longer any need for excessive use. In other words, there is no point in putting extra layers of clothing on your body. This approach allows you to stay outside for a long time at sub-zero temperatures.

At the same time, we should not forget that winter fishing involves a lot of movement around the reservoir, including punching a large number of holes. This leads to increased sweating. In this regard, it is necessary to wear multi-layer thermal underwear that can wick away excess sweat. At the same time, it should be remembered that thermal underwear is always worn on a naked body, otherwise it will not work correctly.

The outerwear set should include warm trousers and a jacket, and felt boots should be worn on the feet. We should not forget about the headdress.

Having this type of clothing will allow you to fish all day in very low temperatures, in the presence of wind or precipitation.

Availability of basic equipment

Basic equipment will allow you to conduct fishing at the proper level. Otherwise, fishing may not take place at all or may turn out to be very difficult, which will certainly lead to negative emotions. What is the main equipment?

This is a tool that you simply cannot do without when fishing and it is better not to go out on the ice at all. As a rule, with the help of this simple device, fishermen check the thickness of the ice. This is especially important if the body of water is unfamiliar.

Old holes covered with snow pose a great danger to anglers. With the help of a pick, such places can be easily identified. This tool comes in different sizes and weights. This makes it possible to select the pick individually.

You can make a similar tool for a fisherman yourself.

Ice drill

This tool greatly facilitates fishing, especially if the ice is thick enough. There are a huge number of models on the market, both domestic and foreign manufacturers. As a rule, most fishermen prefer imported samples. They have the best quality knives and more.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to make an ice auger at home, although it can be assembled from spare parts.

Fishing box

A fishing box is a universal device that can replace several elements. Basically, fishermen use it as a container for storing caught fish, for storing fishing gear and bait. In addition, he can hide several sandwiches. And sitting on it near the hole with a fishing rod in your hands is just as possible. The main requirements for this product are:

  • Strength.
  • Ease.

A winter fishing enthusiast can always be recognized by his fishing box.

Also a necessary device. It’s not very comfortable to pick out crushed ice from a hole with your bare hands, especially in the cold, and even in windy weather. And here a scoop, made like a kitchen colander, will be an indispensable thing. You can make a scoop yourself by using a kitchen scoop, or you can buy one. You should choose from lightweight designs and those with a wooden handle. If the bailer accidentally falls into the water, it will always remain afloat.

A very useful thing when catching large fish. Without it, it is unlikely that it will be possible to fish it out of the hole, especially if the individual is larger in size. It’s not difficult to make such a device yourself; all you need is a piece of wire on which to place a wooden handle.

Fish can be at any depth. To feed it and collect it at one point, in the area of the hole, a feeder of any design will be useful. It is enough to tie a fishing line or rope of the required thickness and length to it.

For winter fishing you will need:

  • A winter fishing rod with a 0.2 mm fishing line, the length of which (the fishing line) is about 20 meters.
  • Small pellets, as cargo.
  • It is very important to match the color of the hook to the color of the bait.
  • To fish for bloodworms, you should take hooks No. 2, No. 3, No. 5 made of thin metal, since the body of the bloodworm has a thin body.
  • The bloodworms are stored in a special container (bloodworm), which is not difficult to make yourself.
  • For fishing with worms, hooks No. 3 and No. 4 are used.
  • It is better to take several fishing rods with different equipment if different types of fish can bite.
  • It is advisable to have spare hooks, fishing line, etc. with you.

Many fishermen take strong drinks with them, in the form of vodka or moonshine. Their main motivation lies in the warming effect of these alcoholic drinks. In fact, the effect can be completely opposite, and sometimes even sad.

Large doses of alcohol lead to the fact that the angler may fall asleep in the cold, and this is a serious risk of freezing. In addition, a drunk fisherman loses his reaction, which leads to ineffective fishing. It should also be remembered that not all fishermen returned home alive after such fishing.

If you plan to travel for no more than half a day, then you can take a minimum amount of supplies, especially if there is no transport. For example:

  • Warm clothes.
  • Winter fishing rod.
  • Groundbait and groundbait.
  • Container for storing fish.
  • Drill and scoop.
  • A hook and a comfortable chair.

In other words, just dress warmly and take a fishing box with accessories.

Additional accessories

Those accessories that will be listed below are optional, but they can create additional comfort, which is so lacking in winter fishing. It should be remembered that transportation of some of them requires transport.

Naturally, the heater will only be useful if you have a tent. These are mainly gas structures, although there are products that run on other types of fuel.

As a rule, they do not differ in the principle of operation, but they differ in operating time. There are models designed for three hours of operation, and there are models that can heat the tent for all 5 hours. As a rule, gas models include a cylinder and a heater or stove.

If the fisherman has transport, he will definitely take a tent with him. In specialized retail outlets it is possible to purchase a tent for every taste. Here a lot depends on financial capabilities.

Tents are divided into 3 main types:

  1. Frame.
  2. Dome.
  3. Automatic.

The most reliable are frame structures, but the most practical are automatic ones, which take up a minimum of precious time for installation and dismantling. As for dome models, this is more of a budget option.

Basically, tents of light colors are chosen, since they provide the most light. The most important thing is that the tent can protect from frost, wind, and snow.

We can say that these days an echo sounder is not an additional, but the main equipment of any fisherman. With its help, a minimum of time is spent searching for fish sites. You can drill 10 holes, or you can just drill one. As you can see, the expenditure of physical strength is disproportionately different. In addition, there is a lot of time left for fishing itself, but not for searching for fish. This is especially true in winter due to the short days.

It is important to know the do's and don'ts during the winter fishing season. For example:

  • It is not recommended to go out on thin ice. Statistics show that this is very life-threatening.
  • You should always take an ice pick with you and move around the pond only with it.
  • If you are not sure about the thickness of the ice, then you can move around the reservoir if you move your backpack or box on one shoulder. If something happens, you can easily free your hands and get rid of excess weight.
  • If the ice begins to crack, you cannot run on it. You should lie down on the ice and crawl along it.
  • If there is snow cover on the reservoir, you should be especially careful, as it can hide dangerous areas. And here the pick will be useful.
  • It is strictly not recommended to move around the pond while intoxicated.

When going to a winter pond, it is better to adhere to some rules. For example:

  • At the moment you can buy a camera for winter fishing. According to some fishermen, this is a very useful thing. It will help you find out exactly where the fish are. It's like an echo sounder, but here you can see with your own eyes what kind of fish is in the area of the hole.
  • Automatic tents have proven themselves well in conditions where you often move from hole to hole. If such a problem is not foreseen, then it is better to take a frame tent as it is more reliable.
  • You should always take several fishing rods with you to catch different types of fish.

Along with the rapid and massive development of amateur fishing, the range of fishing equipment is also growing. We will talk about this basic set of fisherman in this article.

Rods. A novice fisherman needs to know that they are made from wicker, hazel, birch, bamboo, metal, fiberglass, etc. The first requirement for them is strength, the second is elasticity, and the third is length. They should not be kept in water, as this will result in loss of strength, cracking or corrosion. For ease of transportation, fishing rods are made of several sections. For fishing, float, feeder, plug, fly, bottom, winter and spinning fishing rods are used. At the thin end of the rods, a loop must be fitted through which the fishing line of the tackle is passed, which is secured to the reel or in the middle of the rod. If the end of the rod breaks, the fisherman does not lose all the gear and the caught fish.

Line (vein). Not so long ago, twisted hair from a horse's tail or various types of silk or hemp cords were used as a fishing line; now, for the same purpose, they use synthetic veins: nylon, perlon, silon and others, as well as metal strings of different colors and made in thickness from 0.08 to 1 mm. Rarely for fishing, but nylon and hemp cords are also used. To prevent the fishing line from losing its elasticity, it should be immersed from time to time for several hours in a 50% solution of glycerin and water and kept less in the sun.

Leash. In the case of fishing with fishing rods for predatory fish - pike, pike perch or catfish, which can bite the fishing line, a metal string 25-50 cm long is attached to the end of it, into which spoons or hooks with bait are already attached. Considering the caution of the fish, to reduce the visibility of the main thick fishing line, a leash of thin fishing line 15-30 cm long and 0.08-0.3, rarely 0.4 mm thick is attached to the end of it, to which a hook is tied.

Carbine with swivel (anti-twist). Used to connect the main fishing line of the tackle with a leash on a bottom fishing rod, feeders, girders, paths, circles, spinning rods with rotating spoons.

Float. Designed to restrain a leash with a hook and bait or nozzle at a certain depth, as well as to record the moment a fish bites. There are floating and standing floats, which are made from: goose feathers, tree bark, foam, plastic of various sizes and shapes. At night, to detect fish biting, a small bell or firefly is also hung at the end of the rods, and on winter fishing rods, most often, the float is replaced with sensitive guards of various shapes and materials.

Sinker. A novice fisherman needs to know that a sinker is used on gear when fish are caught near the bottom and in the water column, to hold the hook with a nozzle or bait in the desired place or position. Sinkers are made of heavy metal, mainly lead, tin, and babbitt. The shapes of sinkers and their sizes are very diverse and depend on the purpose of the gear. The weights on the tackle are fixed or made to move freely. For light gear, pellets of different sizes are used (hunting or ready-made from the store), which are cut to the middle with a knife and secured to the leashes by compression. Freely moving sinkers are made in the form of balls, ovals or cylinders, which can freely rotate on the fishing line and roll along the bottom, along with the flow of water. The movement of such a free weight along the fishing line is limited by stoppers that are secured on both sides.

For bottom fishing rods and feeders, in flowing reservoirs where it is necessary to use heavy sinkers, cast iron mugs, rings, and heavy feeders are used for this.

The greatest difficulties in selecting a sinker for the tackle arise among spinners. The weight of the spinner here, together with its components, namely: the sinker, carabiner, winding rings, should be such that with a jerk it is possible to bring the reel with fishing line to a state of inertia and overcome the frictional force at the contact points on the rod and in the air.

In addition, it turns out that predatory fish, especially perch, as well as pike, having noticed the spoon, “follow” the sinker (as if it were prey), try to get ahead of the spoon (competitor) and grab the sinker, and therefore do not get caught by the spoon. To avoid this, spinners make a sinker with two hooks built into them, shaped like the fish that lives in the fishing area, or which is the predator’s favorite food item.

Hooks. The success of fishing largely depends on the quality, shape and size of hooks. Hooks are made bent and forged (black - hardened in oil, white - from stainless steel, coated with bronze), with a loop or flattened at the end of the rod and have numbers: 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8.5 , 10, 12, 14, 16, 40 corresponding to the distance in millimeters between the tip and the rod.

The hook should not bend or break. Its sting should be long and pointed, the beard of the sting should be deeply cut and slightly retracted inward or to the side.

Hooks are tied to fishing line in several ways. The vein is pulled into the loop of the rod from the inside (from the middle), tied around the rod and its end is pulled into the same loop from the fishing line again - a figure eight is formed, which is tightened tightly. The second method is not much different from the first - only the figure eight from the vein is made separately, and then the end of the rod is passed through both rings of the figure eight and the vein is tightly tightened. Third - the vein is bent in half 3-4 cm from the end, applied in a loop to the rod, at the bend of the stream, the short end of the fishing line is wrapped from bottom to top along the rod along with the long end of the fishing line 3-5 times and its free tip is passed into the loop of the fishing line formed during bending at the forend, and tighten this loop with the long end of the fishing line under its turns on the rod. The remainder of the tip of the fishing line is cut off in all cases, and the fishing line of the tackle must be on the inside of the hook (on the rod opposite the sting). For spinners, etc., use double and treble hooks with the appropriate size and numbers from 6 to 18.

Spoons. This is a kind of artificial substitute for natural bait. The great interest in spinners is explained mainly by the absence of difficulties in storing natural baits, which in this case should be small fish. The growing variety of spinners is associated with the search for forms that can best replace fish - food items for pike, pike perch, perch, and other predators. They are also an integral element of sport fishing for the above species of fish.

By size, spinners are divided into large, medium, small; by weight - heavy and light; by color - bright and matte; by movement in water - rotating, oscillatory, vertical; in shape - into symmetrical and asymmetrical, acting as an irritant or “competitor”, which allegedly catches up with the bait placed in front of the spoon, or the second spoon, in the diet of predatory fish.

Spinner baits are made from stainless steel, duralumin, bronze, brass, copper, aluminum, lead, cupronickel, glass, gutta-percha and other materials.

Our industry produces more than a hundred types of various spinners, the most common of which have not lost their purpose over many decades, and the search for new types continues among amateurs and, having gained popularity, become the object of industrial production.

As a rule, lures are connected to the main tackle through a carabiner and a steel leash. Depending on the conditions of the reservoir, time, place, current, weather, and the demands of predatory fish, they use one or another lure. You should also count on losing them from hooks. Spoons are often replaced with “rigs” adapted for mounting a dead fish, which is placed on a metal pin and secured with tee anchors along the surface of the body.

In winter, they mainly use small spoons for vertical lures. They have one hook connected to the spoon, on which there is no barb, but the tip must be long and well sharpened; in this case, a leash is not needed. If the spinners are intended for catching pike or pike perch, then their size should reach 70 mm, and the sting should have a barb.

The color of the spinners in winter should be chosen bright. To polish lures and sharpen hooks on fishing trips, you need to take chamois leather, sandpaper, a sharpener, cloth and polishing paste with you.

Bumper. When fishing, a hook or jig often clings to underwater obstacles - submerged branches, trees, snags, aquatic vegetation, stones. To free the gear from the snag, they use bumpers, which are made
made of soft metal - lead or babbitt in the form of a ring or cylinder of different diameters and weights.

Fishing practice requires bumpers that directly pass onto the fishing line; this is convenient if there is a reel on the rod. In this case, lead rings with loops are used, one of which acts as a hinge - a curtain, the second - a latch. Lead cylinders are also made.

A mandatory requirement for successfully releasing a hook or lure from a hook is to bring the boat to the place where the tackle is held and vertical tension of the fishing line; in this case, the striker releases the hooks and lures quite easily with its weight.

Landing net. A large fish caught should always be removed from the water using a landing net, to which it is gradually brought with a fishing rod. They make a landing net from a nylon mesh. They sew it to metal rings with a diameter of 25-30 cm, the ends of which are secured with a sleeve to a wooden or bamboo stick, 100-150 cm long and 2-3 cm thick. The depth of the landing net should be 60-70 cm. If you are too lazy, go to the store and buy already ready.

Bagorik. It is better to drag large catfish and pike into the boat using a metal hook made in the form of a hook, the distance from the tip to the rod is 60-80 mm, the length of the rod reaches 50-60 cm.

Fish tank. They try to keep the caught fish alive. It is best to use nylon basket cages for this. There is a huge selection of them in fishing stores.

Bucket for live bait. It is better to keep live bait (small fish for catching predatory fish) in a 5-6 liter bucket equipped with a lid with tabs and a latch. In the upper third of the bucket, many 5 mm holes are made to ensure water exchange. Live bait is carried to the fishing site in a bucket of water, and at the fishing site it is immersed in water. Buckets can be made of metal or plastic.

Mormyshka. This name comes from the name of a small amphipod crustacean (gamarus), which is common in the reservoirs of the Urals and Siberia and is a favorite food of fish. Rising in shocks from the bottom to the surface of the reservoir, it becomes an object of prey for voracious perches, roaches, and elms. In those areas, fishermen collect this crustacean from under the ice and catch fish with it using winter fishing rods.

The absence of such bait in the central European regions prompted inventive amateurs to make artificial jigs (“jigs”), and more than a hundred forms of this, so to speak, delight appeared, which are used with or without a bloodworm attachment. It can be considered at the same time a sinker, a jig, and an irritant. “Jigs” are made from tin, lead, copper, bronze in the form of a ball, a drop, as well as ovoid, oval, lens-shaped, etc., with a soldered forged hook in a horizontal position. Hooks choose small sizes No. 2.5 - 3.5. Recently, quite large (heavy) “jigs” have appeared that have begun to resemble spinners. The hole for passing the fishing line is made in the jig, in a vertical plane relative to the hook. The vein under the jig is tied with a flat knot. “Jigs” are divided into large, medium and small.

Coil. An integral fisherman’s tool for casting bait, nozzles and spinners over a long distance within a certain
place or dive gear in deep places. Spinning and fly fishing reels have existed for a long time, and now winter and leading bottom reels have appeared, which are made of light metals and synthetic materials. They are divided into inertial and non-inertial. The success of fishing with a reel is entirely related to the minimum friction in it.

Feeders. They are most often used for baiting and attracting fish. Their design is being improved in the direction of precision in casting bait directly to the fishing spot. Feeders are made in small sizes, mostly cone-shaped, 6-15 cm high and 4-8 cm in diameter; they can be made of metal or synthetic materials (depending on their purpose). They usually use feeders in flowing reservoirs, where the current gradually washes out the food that the fish collect.

Who found the article “What a novice fisherman needs to know” useful? Social network buttons are waiting for you. And if you disagree with anything, or would like to add something, don’t keep it to yourself and speak up in the comments.

No tail, no scales!

Silence, birdsong, gentle sun, quiet splash of the river, fresh air. Excitement when it bites. Well, and, of course, booty that you can be proud of! Even getting ready is a pleasure.

What should you take fishing? Let's consider several options.

One day fishing

  1. Tackle: fishing rods, bait, bait (bait), nets, cages, . Be sure to take spare hooks, fishing line, and reel;
  2. How to dress? Depending on the weather. Clothing should protect your skin from the sun. There is a cap on the head. Don't forget sunglasses: they are very convenient for observing the float. If it’s cool outside, then the water immediately becomes damp, dress warmly;
  3. Water. Drinking. You will need it to make tea, cook food, wash your face;
  4. Soap;
  5. First aid kit (Necessarily). Iodine, bandage, cotton wool, adhesive plaster, antiallergic agent - this is the required minimum;
  6. Remedies for insect bites. The choice is huge now (sprays, ointments, spirals). If you have a mosquito net, you can attach it to your headgear. If you don’t know what helps against mosquito bites, then read -;
  7. Very useful little things: a hatchet, a small fishing knife, a mining shovel. Flashlight, matches (a lot of), lighter. Old newspaper for making a fire. Spare batteries for a flashlight. If you come fishing by car, then it is better to buy firewood along the way at any gas station. You can even make a folding fishing chair yourself. Salt. If you catch a lot of fish, you can immediately salt it.

If you are traveling overnight

Then you need to take care of a comfortable overnight stay. We take everything with us for a one-day fishing trip, plus:

  1. Tent;
  2. Sleeping bags;
  3. Carimat or air mattress. You can grab small travel pads. At night you need to rest fully and comfortably.
  4. Warm clothes.

Fishing is fishing, and lunch is on schedule

It is better to take disposable dishes. But take the cutting board and knives that you use at home for cooking. And:

  • Napkins, can opener, pouring spoon;
  • Be sure to take bags with you where you will put the garbage;
  • A cauldron for fish soup or tea, and fastenings for it. Brazier (if barbecues are planned). By the way, here is a good recipe on the topic. Of course, if you have a folding dining table, that’s absolutely great.
  • Drinking unsweetened mineral water in bottles;
  • Tea and/or instant coffee;
  • Bread;
  • Canned food (meat, fish), cheese, biscuits, salted lard, raw smoked sausage, ;
  • Fruits and vegetables;
  • Home-marinated barbecue meat;
  • Some cereal (it will be very tasty with canned meat);
  • If you plan to cook fish soup, then all the products necessary for this;
  • Potatoes (bake in the fire).

This is an indicative list of products. Add to it or change it to your liking. The main thing to remember is: we don’t take anything perishable.

- in high-quality packaging;

When going fishing, the first thing you probably think about is what equipment to take with you and what bait will be best for catching fish. But for some reason, many people remember last that food is necessary for the fisherman himself; they hastily prepare some sandwiches and rush to leave “at first dawn.” What if you are going to fish more than one day in a row?

As with any trip, you should prepare the following products for fishing:
— are not perishable;
— easy to transport, i.e. do not wrinkle, do not melt in the heat;
- in high-quality packaging;
- must be nutritious and satisfying;
- those that do not require a serious approach to their preparation and will not take away from you the time that can be spent for its intended purpose, i.e., fishing.

But first of all, it is necessary to take care of a sufficient amount of fresh drinking water. For some reason, many fishermen are confident that not far from their fishing spot they will definitely be able to find a spring with good water. In fact, such a spring is not always found - this is the case. And secondly, you weren’t going to go to games for survival courses.

Salt is another extremely important product when fishing. Naturally, with salt, any food becomes more tasty, but this is not the main thing. If you are away for more than one day, you intend to bring your catch as “booty”; it is better to salt it at the fishing spot. Then you will have a guarantee that the fish will not spoil under the influence of heat.

Bread, which also must be taken with you on a fishing trip, is best packed in plastic bags - then it will not turn into crackers within the first 24 hours. Bread is one of those products that is always useful: you can quickly put together a sandwich, or just chew it if you don’t want to tear yourself away from the fishing process.

Various cereals or pasta are good for such fishing trips - any bulk products. You can very easily prepare a camp soup from them in an ordinary cauldron. By the way, the most delicious dish on fishing!

Canned food is also good for fishing. Just don’t forget to take a can opener with you, otherwise it will be very difficult to open a can of banal stew or sprat in a tomato.

Also good in nature would be a bay leaf for fish soup, various spices and tea leaves - then you will probably be convinced that going fishing is much more interesting than looking for codes for games online and sitting in a cramped apartment all the time.

“Liquidate” the products in order of priority - leave those that can be stored longer for later, and on the first day use those that “mom put in”, such as ready-made cutlets and fresh salads.

The new laws oblige every fisherman to become law-abiding. Otherwise, you can run into a large fine - and the amounts are quite large.

Let's say the fines for fishing are all the same - from 2 to 5 thousand rubles. But fees for caught fish of an unauthorized size can amount to tens of thousands.

Especially during the spawning ban - everything caught illegally is a dachshund multiplied by three. So one pike perch of an unacceptable size and caught during spawning will cost an ordinary fisherman almost 10 thousand rubles.

Who wants to get caught with such huge money?

Therefore, every fisherman needs to have several things with him when fishing that will prevent him from catching illegal fish and not getting fined.

However, this happened before, only the dachshunds were small and the Fisheries Protection Service turned a blind eye to some things. And now everything is different!

Scales or steelyard

You shouldn't go fishing today without this tool!

Firstly, you always want to know the weight of the caught trophy. Secondly, you need to comply with the law and its daily norms.

Having weighed the caught catch and confirmed the weight figures, you can either continue fishing or fold your fishing rods.

The beauty of fishing may unexpectedly end when the ill-fated number “5” appears on the scales (this is if in your region the daily norm is 5 kg), but you will be sure that you will not be issued a report with a fine.

Passport or driver's license

Or any document proving your identity. Now (I, for example, always carry it with me in case something goes wrong) it’s better to have this document with you.

The evil Fisheries inspector has the right to call the police to check you. Well, it’s clear that if they don’t have suspicions against you, they will pass by.

But if you yourself balk or get stuck in a traffic jam, or begin to prove your innocence, then all this can happen.

Ruler or tape measure

Another tool that you can’t do without when fishing today is a tape measure or ruler. To measure the caught fish.

And accordingly, you won’t be subject to a protocol and a fine.

I agree with many that while you are measuring the fish, while you are weighing it, it will “die”. And you will have to throw the already dead one into the water - and this is garbage - for this there is a separate article of the law.

It turns out to be a double-edged sword... Well, our “jackets and ties” cannot understand this!

In general, take a ruler or tape measure with you.

Well, for those on the boat, you will need a few more mandatory things. But more on that in my other article.

NHNCH (No tail, no scales) to everyone!
