As you know, the procedure for using boarding passes is prescribed in the rules for pre-flight inspection. Before the adoption of new rules allowing the use of an electronic sample coupon during pre-flight inspection, the passenger was stamped on a paper boarding pass. 1. Paper boarding passes can be printed both by yourself (at home, in a hotel, office, etc.) and at self-check-in kiosks, and at some airports in the Russian Federation - in special machines that print paper boarding passes. As the order of the Ministry of Transport promises, the option to independently print a paper boarding pass or receive it at the airport will be retained.

Which airports are ready to check in passengers with an electronic boarding pass?

The innovation, which will come into force on February 24 of this year, will probably not immediately begin to be applied at Russian airports for one simple reason: many airports are simply not ready for such a procedure - they do not have the necessary equipment, the staff is not trained, the procedure for interaction with the border service is not established, when it comes to the use of electronic boarding passes on international flights.
