Holidays Black Sea all inclusive. Choosing a hotel

Let's look at an all-inclusive holiday: what is it, how much does it cost and in which countries is it considered the best?

I would venture to suggest that you, the reader, are either just about to experience all the delights of an all-inclusive, or have already traveled to the Turkish coast once or twice or ten times and are looking for somewhere else to stay. Understanding the global nature of the problem, and therefore having previously tried all inclusive in three countries, I will try to give a general idea and answer the question of whether it is possible to find Turkey outside of Turkey.

My analysis won’t be lengthy, but for those who can’t wait to shop around, I’ll recommend online services where you can find profitable all-inclusive tours:

Choose the dates you need and don’t forget to check the “all” box in the meals section - that’s what you came here for, right? 🙂

All inclusive (designated as All / Al) is a hotel service system, the price of which includes a room, a 24/7 buffet (breakfast, lunch, dinner and + snacks), local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, etc. In other words, a pleasant option that provides a truly “vegetable” vacation, when the tourist is fed, watered, and amused.

By the way, all inclusive is not only about food: entertainment is also “included” - animation, children's clubs, spa and the list goes on (but depends on the hotel). In general, this concept is ideal for the “beach vacation” or “family vacation with children” format.

Hotels operating according to the system are resort hotels and are located by the sea. And in theory, this is the only thing that unites them all over the world. In practice, hotels abroad can be:

  • modest three rubles / luxurious fives
  • huge in area, with swimming pools and a private beach / compact with a splash pool and paid sunbeds
  • be on a reservation tens of kilometers from a populated area / across the road from the beach in the city center
  • excite the variety of the menu daily / serve fish on Thursdays, chicken on Saturdays, and instead of lemonade - yupi

The concentration of vacationers who prefer all-inclusive holidays is in Turkey. Of course, one can argue with this - this product of the mind of hoteliers was first introduced in the Caribbean in the 50s, which since then has attracted millions of Americans on vacation. But let's focus on the choice of the Russians.

What are the prices for an all-inclusive beach holiday?

Of course, all is always more expensive than other maintenance systems. On the other hand, food and drinks are paid for in advance - you can give yourself free rein and appease your internal accountant.

On average, prices for an all-inclusive holiday are 30% higher than for the same tour, but with breakfast (BB), and 20% higher than full board (FB). If we start from Turkey as a “hotbed” of olla, then at the height of the season a trip for two for 7 days costs:

  • from 65,000 rubles – 5 star hotels, first line
  • from 50,000 rubles – 4* hotels
  • from 40,000 rubles – 3-star hotels

All inclusive in Turkey

All inclusive in Tunisia

They say that you can’t go to Tunisia without everything. I haven’t checked it, but I’m inclined to listen to reviews – and there are many of them. The cuisine is not for everyone, there is a lot of garbage in the cities, unsanitary conditions, you never know... So I took the fruit from the market and went to the hotel for the rest.

An all-inclusive holiday in Tunisia can be a substitute for Turkey. The system here is quite widespread and inexpensive, the hotels are large and have palm trees, sunbeds for guests on the beach are provided, as well as unlimited alcohol (despite the fact that the country is Muslim) and a conveyor belt of dishes.

What the Tunisian all lacks is 1) variety in food and drinks, 2) animation (in many places it is sluggish), 3) Russian-speaking staff (it is still more like the Germans-British). Well, always subtract one star from the declared level.

But the beaches and excursions here are much cooler than in the capital all inclusive! About the resorts: Djerba is an island for spa-loving seals; Mahdia - known for the best beaches; Hammamet - for families with children; Sousse is for the young, playful and thrifty.

  • All-inclusive prices in Tunisia – from 60,000 rubles per week for two

All inclusive in Egypt

Egypt is now in limbo. It seems to be open and tours are being sold, but one cannot say that the Russians are bored. All-inclusive holidays here are also so uncertain.

Out of every ten luxury hotels, five do not work according to the system (they offer bb or hb), and going to a budget three-ruble hotel is highly discouraged - it’s scary (for the stomach and memories). Finding a good olla and room at the right price takes time.

The hotel base is poorer than in Turkey, although all of its representatives are rather large, “beach” and with some kind of activity for guests. Plus, the Russian guest is the most welcome.

And all is necessary in Egypt, because... the cafes are by no means cheap (≈$30 for dinner for 2), and so as not to once again disturb the sociable and obsessive soul of the Arabs.

  • Sharm el-Sheikh or Hurghada? Prices for all-inclusive holidays have been set so far by one tour operator - Tez Tour. With a flight from Moscow, a week-long tour costs from 65,000 rubles

All inclusive in Cyprus

In Mediterranean Europe, all inclusive is not popular because priority is given to the level of service. The wishes of tourists also need to be taken into account, so little by little, with difficulty, the system is being introduced. Cyprus is one of the most reluctant in this regard.

Despite the limited choice of hotels on the island, Cyprus is all about quality. If there is meat on the menu, then it really is meat; and the local brandy is 100% strong. But be prepared to shell out a larger amount - the price tag is not at all Turkish.

In general, everything is ok with food (except for tea bags). The service clearly corresponds to the stars, no more (in “three rubles” they often require a fee for a safe and refrigerator), but no less (the condition of the room is excellent).

The hotels themselves, incl. and 4-5* - compact and uninteresting - animation is rare, there are almost no water slides, and there are no bars on the beaches. By the way, they are public in Cyprus, so you will have to pay for an umbrella/lounger (or on the sand). “What a shame!” - Turkey would say, but on the island the hotel is not so important; all the most exciting (and delicious) things are outside its gates.

  • The minimum prices for an all-inclusive holiday in Cyprus in 2020 are from 80,000 rubles per week. Economy resorts – Paphos and Larnaca; truly beachy - Ayia Napa, Limassol and Protaras

All inclusive in a 3 star hotel - our trip to Rhodes in June 2018

Greece is more open to all-inclusiveness. Finding conditions for “drink, eat, drive to the sea, repeat” is much easier and suits any budget.

The most expensive ones are on the island of Corfu and mainland Halkidiki. For a budget option, Crete, Rhodes and Kos are worth following. A unique standard of Greek all-inclusive is embodied in the Grecotel hotel chain.

In general, in Greece even a 2* hotel can provide full service. True, these will be exactly 3 scheduled meals, without snacks and variety (plastic muffins and unleavened cheese), but with natural homemade products - vegetables, olives, meat. However, you can live, and for an economy holiday this is a good deal.

In 4* and 5* hotels, everyone may be disappointed by the “turned off” entertainment - although in Greece the animation is more developed than in Cyprus, especially in large hotels - paid sun loungers and, quite possibly, Wi-Fi for an extra penny (but the buffet, as you can see, has no complaints does not cause).

  • In 2020, the cost of an all-inclusive holiday in Greece starts from 65,000 rubles – 7 days, 2 people

All inclusive in Bulgaria

“..., Bulgaria is not a foreign country,” they said in the USSR. Nowadays such loud statements are not frequent, but tourists periodically express “fucks” about seaside holidays.

Bulgarian all inclusive is typical European: high-quality food, but not “for slaughter”; alcohol is reduced to mediocre wine and beer; slides, ice cream cakes and huge green areas must be sought out.

Remember, if you go for a cheap all-inclusive package, then a hotel with a good degree of modernity awaits you (including a renovation from the 80s) - a kind of boarding house on the Black Sea with queues in the dining room and on the beach (a sun lounger, of course, costs levs) . Therefore, for a positive experience, it is better to consider everything above the level of 65,000 rubles for two.

Free place in the sun, decent all and cool conditions for children (and, perhaps, for seekers of Turkey, but without discos) - in Albena; paid place, available all and party - in Sunny Beach; just inexpensive - in Golden Sands.

  • In 2020, an all-inclusive holiday in Bulgaria costs from 50,000 rubles for two for a week

All inclusive in Montenegro

Our trip to Montenegro in August

All inclusive in Spain

Looking for all in Spain on the mainland is a dubious idea, but on the islands it’s a different matter, it’s easier and the level of the all itself is higher.

1) About the mainland: all inclusive - a feature of the resort areas on the Costa Brava and Costa del Maresme (cheaper) and Costa Dorada (more expensive); in large cities like Barcelona, the system is not present.

In some ways, such an alley is similar to Turkish Alanya: people also come to local 3-4* economy class hotels to drink and have a good time, but on a budget. Only the contingent is not Russians, but Germans and British (by whose standards it comes out on a budget). And since alcohol and food - I must admit, the food is excellent - are the most important thing, then there is nothing outstanding here: the territories are small, the rooms are shabby, and the only entertainment is songs under the windows.

2) About the islands: Tenerife and Mallorca are more advanced in terms of all inclusive. “Treshka” on the first line with animation (for children and adults) – please; a luxurious “five” with oysters and champagne for breakfast is also not a problem. The only caveat is that all this costs several times more compared to “1)”.

Note: the Alcudia area in Mallorca is a paradise for a lazy holiday with a child.

  • In Spain, an all-inclusive holiday in 2020 will cost from 80,000 rubles for 2 people for a week

All inclusive in Russia

Abroad with all-inclusive everything is clear, but what is it like at home – the Black Sea, Crimea? In general, all-inclusive holidays in Russia are the least popular of all the above-mentioned countries, simply because the quality does not keep up with the accelerating price.

Alas, the lack of service, the sea, which can be called clean only in a few areas (for example, Nizhneimeretinskaya Bay) and the huge price tag for a 3-course buffet are clearly inferior to the same Turkey with a more affordable all inclusive.

  • The cost of an all-inclusive trip to the Russian coast in a good hotel in 2020 is from 55,000 rubles for 7 nights for two

We are looking for a discounted tour.

It is worth keeping in mind that every year more and more varieties of the all inclusive system are offered - Mini all inclusive, Max inclusive, Ultra All inclusive. One more nuance: Full Board is full board, that is, breakfast + lunch + dinner, alcohol is paid separately. And the ALL system is three meals a day + local alcohol + the possibility of snacks: lunch, afternoon tea, barbecue, cocktails and snacks on the beach, night dinner. You should know that the number of stars of the hotel directly determines the features of the all-inclusive meal plan.

What food options do last minute tours come with?

So, if you buy an all-inclusive package with accommodation in a hotel category:

  • 2* or 3*, then the service package will include three meals a day (buffet) and local drinks; you will have to pay extra for imported alcohol. In budget hotels, the most common option is mini all inclusive service, which allows you to enjoy the service only from 10.00-21.00.
  • 4*, you can count on a hearty meal (three times a day) with an extensive menu and the possibility of an additional choice of second breakfast or late dinner, as well as drinks and local alcohol. You will be welcome at the bar from 7.00 to 00.00.
  • 5*, then you will be able to appreciate all the advantages of the Ultra All inclusive system - these are the expanded capabilities of the standard all-inclusive service. Premium class service is offered to guests in luxury hotels in Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab, Antalya, Alanya, Kemer and other famous resorts in Turkey and Egypt.

A family vacation is a great opportunity to get even closer, get to know your child better, and most importantly, show him the world and teach him a lot. In addition, even the smallest children will enjoy a holiday at sea not only with joy, but also with great benefits from the salty waves and iodized air. It is simply impossible to overestimate their beneficial effect on the well-being of both children and adults. However, every time when planning a vacation, many parents are faced with the question of where to go. Many Russians began to prefer holidays with children on the Black Sea. But do not forget that a holiday with children at sea in 2016 is not the only opportunity for an excellent trip. There are many ski resorts that are perfect for a family holiday.

Features of holidays with children abroad

The first thing to consider when going, for example, to winter resorts is that for very young children, especially those who are prone to frequent illnesses, this holiday option will not be the best. As for holidays in hot countries by the sea, if a child reacts heavily to changes in climate and nutrition, then in this case it is also worth choosing simpler options. In some countries, costs for a child can reach 80% of the total cost of a tour for an adult. However, there is a list of countries that have flexible discount systems for children.

At some resorts, children traditionally relax completely free of charge. This opportunity is available in Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Egypt. When choosing a country for your holiday, you should pay special attention to the sanitary and epidemiological condition of the resort. After all, the safety and health of your child are above all the tempting low prices for tours with children. And, perhaps, the last thing you should do when planning a vacation with your child: choose a resort with a short flight.

The best resort countries for family holidays

A family holiday with children will truly be exciting and memorable for a lifetime, as many countries offer the highest level of service.

Türkiye

Türkiye is famous for its many fun entertainment programs for all family members. An important fact is that in Turkish hotels with excellent service, all guests are received by friendly and attentive staff. Holidays in Turkey with children will definitely become carefree, as they will take care of everything for you. However, you need to know that the highest prices for trips to Turkey are in July and August, so it is best to go on vacation with children in September.

Bulgaria

A resort country like Bulgaria is created exclusively for a relaxing family holiday. All resorts in the country have very beautiful views, and hotels can offer children a lot of games and entertainment. The best time to fly to Bulgaria with children is in August – September. At this time in Bulgaria it is very warm and the sea is well warmed up, which is good for children.

Greece

Greece is azure sandy beaches, picturesque views and everything that can harmonize a family vacation. If you are going to Greece with the goal of soaking up the sun's rays, then the best time to do this is from May to September. If you want to visit the country’s cultural programs, then it is better to buy tours for March - April.

Where is the best place to go in winter?

Winter family holidays are very diverse, as they can be spent not only in cold but also in warm countries. In Italy you can visit excellent ski resorts. There are six of them: Dolomiti di Brenta, Val di Susa, Dolomites, Val d'Aosta, Alta Valtellina and Trento. In addition, excellent ski resorts can be visited in Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey. As for winter holidays in warm countries, beach seasons are open in countries such as the UAE, Egypt, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Maldives and many others.

Main types of recreation and entertainment for children and their parents

In almost all resort countries there are a lot of different types of recreation and entertainment. Among them are: water parks, dolphinariums, swimming pools, animation shows for children and entertainment shows, parties, clubs, excursions for adults.

What to pay special attention to to make your children's holiday unforgettable

Today, almost all hotels offer a variety of entertainment programs for children. However, in order for your child’s vacation to become truly unforgettable, you need to decide in advance on the desired children’s entertainment and choose a tour based on your preferences. Game labyrinths, huge play complexes, children's outdoor pools with slides, animator performances, water parks and much more. This is what foreign resorts can offer you.

The services of a babysitter at the hotel will be very useful so that parents can spend time together. But this also needs to be foreseen in advance. As a rule, in all overseas resorts, children's food includes a wide variety of menus, so your child will certainly find a dish to their liking.

Planning a holiday with children

When planning to go on vacation with your children, you should make sure you have a foreign passport and, if necessary, apply for a visa and documents confirming the relationship between the parent and the child. Then it is worth considering the availability of a transfer that will take you directly to the hotel, but if you use the services of a travel agency, then everything will be done for you in advance.

Hotels for families with children

If we talk about Turkey, the best hotels in it are considered to be Laserpark Hotel 5* All and Cornelia De Luxe Resort 5* All, which are located in Belek. In Bulgaria, an excellent hotel is Gergana 4* All, in Albena. And in the beach village of Obzor there is a chic Miramar 4* All hotel. In Greece, the best hotels for a family holiday will be: Aldemar Cretan Village 4*, Aldemar Paradise Mare 5* and Best Western Zante Park 4*. Russia is a country in two parts of the world, a state whose territory covers the sandy Baltic spit and the rocky islands of Chukotka, stretches from the northern Arctic latitudes to the subtropics. Russia has unimaginable wealth - cultural and historical heritage, protected forests and untouched spaces. The elegant streets of St. Petersburg and the architectural monuments of Kaliningrad compete with the architecture of ancient cities - multi-domed churches and merchant houses, and the beaches of the Black Sea coast compete with the northern forests of Karelia and the ridges of the Ural Mountains.

Geography

Russia is the largest country on our planet by area, occupying 17.1 million square kilometers. The state is located in Eurasia and covers both parts of the continent. About a third of Russia's territory is located in Eastern Europe, and the rest belongs to northern Asia. The Russian shores are washed by the waters of 12 seas belonging to the basins of the Arctic, Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and by the waters of the closed Caspian Sea.

Russia lies on large platforms, so its topography is predominantly flat. In the west of the country stretches the undulating Central Russian Plain, separated by the ridge of the Ural Mountains from the Siberian Plateau. In the south of Russia there are the Caucasus mountain systems with the highest point of the country - Mount Elbrus, Sayan and Altai. In the Far East, the peaks of extinct and active volcanoes soar upward.

There are about 2.5 million rivers and 3 million lakes in Russia. Most rivers are flat in nature, but there are also turbulent mountain rivers in Russia with rocky, rapids beds. The country's largest rivers are the Ob, Lena, Irtysh, Yenisei and Volga. The lake region of Russia is Karelia, where the largest lakes in Europe are located - Ladoga and Onega; in Eastern Siberia there is the deepest lake on the planet - Baikal.

The flora of Russia is a velvet of mosses and lichens in the taiga tundra, coniferous forests encircling the glacial lakes of Karelia, oak forests and birch groves, feather grass and fescue steppes, broad-leaved Far Eastern forests, subtropical flora on the Black Sea coast. Nature protection zones have been created in Russia, there are 42 national parks and 71 nature reserves.

Climate

The territory of Russia covers several climatic zones: Arctic and subarctic on the shores of the Arctic Ocean and in the northern regions, temperate, subtropical on the Black Sea coast.
