“Despite this forced decision, we do not abandon our obligations and will soon offer alternative options for fulfilling obligations for failed tours to Egypt and Turkey using the resources of other companies in the group TH&C“, Brisco reassures on its website. But this is strongly reminiscent of the company's previous promises to pay off its debts, which ended in nothing.

Tourists in Bulgaria are kept under control

Fortunately, unlike a series of tour operator collapses two years ago, Brisco's shutdown did not have catastrophic consequences, as sales were minimal. The insurance company denies

“In accordance with the explanations of the All-Russian Union of Insurers, acts of government authorities are a standard exception under insurance contracts for those traveling abroad and civil liability insurance for tour operators; compensation in this case is not provided,” the VSK press service reported in response to a request from TourDom.ru back in April, indicating that Turkey and Egypt were closed by decree “from above.”

According to the lawyer Ilya Tuguev, the case with Brisco tourists is really not insurable, but they can sue the tour operator. “The chance of winning a case against the company is high, but this does not mean that tourists will receive money. They will have writs of execution in their hands, but whether the tour operator will fulfill its obligations under them is a very controversial issue. Perhaps Brisco will soon go bankrupt, which means that tourists with these writs of execution will end up on the list of creditors. Casuistry leaves a chance for a return

The second is in the event of a tour operator leaving the market to pay compensation to clients.
