USA

The United States of America is the most popular country for immigration among residents of the post-Soviet space. Having the opportunity to earn money or study in the United States, many find ways not to leave the borders of the state. The country is welcoming to new residents and is developing acceptable immigration programs. The most common method is to obtain a permanent residence permit called a Green Card, which provides all the rights of a US citizen except the right to vote in elections.

Latvia

In order to become a citizen of Latvia, you just need to purchase real estate worth from 72 to 140 thousand euros, depending on the distance from the capital, and be its owner for 10 years. The owner of the home and his family are immediately issued a residence permit, thanks to which they can move around the territory of the Schengen zone. Of course, many European countries provide the right to migrate to the territory through the purchase of real estate, but Latvia has the lowest investment threshold.

Czech

The main advantage for the Slavic population when moving to the Czech Republic is the easy-to-learn Czech language. In the country, you can get free higher education in the state language, regardless of the student’s citizenship. Therefore, for young people who want to study at a European university and do not have large financial resources, the Czech Republic will be an excellent option.

Poland

Poland is the most convenient option for immigration to Europe for residents of the CIS; with a short distance from their homeland, the future Pole receives all the privileges of European life. The country offers immigrants free education and favorable conditions and privileges for starting their own business. An additional advantage of the Polish state is the ability for foreigners to work without a work permit.

The best country to live is the one that has an atmosphere of safety and tranquility. One in which a person can realize his dreams, start a family and raise happy children. And for everyone it is different, for one it is their homeland, and for another it is a distant country on the neighboring continent.

Many people leave the country in which they were born and lived part of their lives in favor of a more comfortable state for living. Finding the perfect place to live for yourself and your family is one way to improve your well-being and realize your goals.

We have prepared for you an overview of 10 countries in the world that are the best for immigration. And for those who currently do not want to say goodbye to their homeland, the article will introduce states that are worth visiting in order to experience the quality of life on their territory.

Sweden

This country will gladly accept people who know how to organize their own business, and the state, in turn, will support small businesses. Residents are open to communication and have a favorable attitude towards immigrants. Social services to the population are provided at a high level, but taxes can amount to about 80% of income. At the same time, the Swedes are satisfied with the quality of life and large fees do not bother them. Therefore, enterprising people should take a closer look at Sweden.

Great Britain

The UK is one of the most economically resilient countries in the world. Highly qualified specialists, wealthy entrepreneurs, as well as people of creative professions who have received a global vocation can easily find a place in the kingdom. The best way for young people to immigrate is to get an education in the country. Immigrants from the former Soviet Union, having changed their place of residence in favor of Great Britain, often achieve good professional success by applying their knowledge and talents. What's not a great opportunity to try your hand under the patronage of Elizabeth II?

Germany

The prosperity and economic stability of Germany is increasingly attracting both tourists and immigrants to its territory. And this is understandable, since there is a high standard of living here, and higher education is provided free of charge. In general, there are plenty of reasons to move here for permanent residence.

Norway

If you value comfort and the quality of social and medical services provided, then you cannot find a better country to live in. Norway ranks first in providing social support to the population. And the level of GDP per capita is one of the highest in the world. Caring for residents is a priority in the work of the state of this country, which allows Norwegians not only to live and raise children with dignity, but also to meet old age.

Costa Rica

For people seeking happiness and longevity, Costa Rica is the best country. You will find favorable weather conditions all year round, as well as beautiful nature with many beaches and forests. Under such conditions, the population works and enjoys life with a minimum amount of stress, as evidenced by the high average life expectancy of about 80 years. Costa Ricans are often called the happiest people on the planet, and their favorite expression, “Life is good” (“Pura Vida”), says it all.

Canada

A country with a high level of education and income attracts not only young people, but also middle-aged people. Highly qualified specialists with work experience and knowledge of the local language, English or French, are valued here. Another way of migrating to the country is through a successful marriage, in which girls marry Canadians in advance and then move to their spouse’s territory. Prospects for professional growth and financial well-being make Canada an ideal choice for relocation.

  1. Frequent travel around the world.
  2. Studying various UN ratings and companies specializing in similar things.

In this article we will look at the country that is best suited for living in 2019. In addition, you will find out which state is suitable depending on your needs.

All information is based on data from BAV Consulting, US News & World Report.

In determining the best country, up to 65 criteria were used to compile the characteristics of each state. The following factors had a particular influence:

  1. The quality of life.
  2. Cultural influence.
  3. Opportunities for organizing your own business and so on.

The assessment process took into account 60 countries.

Norway

  1. Healthcare.
  2. Lifespan.
  3. Average income level.
  4. Education.

After Norway are Australia and Switzerland. The leading country is also one of the most prosperous countries in the world according to the Legatum Institute.

The main factors shaping the good image of the kingdom are the amazing landscapes, mountains and sea fjords.

Germany

Now let's look at the best countries according to the results of a joint study of specialized companies that we mentioned at the beginning of the article.

The state is ahead of its competitors in every respect. This left the UK and Canada behind. The research results were announced at the World Economic Forum.

The country was given high marks based on numerous factors, including the following advantages:

  1. Good conditions for organizing a business.
  2. Excellent infrastructure.
  3. Quality education.
  4. Qualified workers.

As for the “strength” factor, Germany has a fairly powerful military potential and shows regular economic growth.

Editor Brian Kelly noted that the United States ranked fourth in the ranking, also demonstrating military power and cultural influence. In addition, America is experiencing a decline in the quality of education. In this parameter, the USA is ahead of countries such as the UK and Canada.

Best country for quality of life

To determine the quality of life, the following indicators were primarily taken into account:

  1. Safety.
  2. Level of economic security.
  3. Income distribution.
  4. Quality of healthcare.

After Canada, the best countries are:

  1. Sweden.
  2. Australia.
  3. Netherlands.
  4. New Zealand.

The lowest standard of living was noted in the following countries:

  1. Iran.
  2. Russia.
  3. Algeria.
  4. Ukraine.
  5. Egypt.

The result of these findings is that these countries have serious problems with the personal safety of citizens. In addition, states lack economic opportunities.

Iran and Pakistan are the least favorable countries for raising children and starting a family.

Best country for women

USNews & World Report notes that Denmark is the best place for women. Denmark ranks second in the list of the best countries for children. Sweden is listed first.

Denmark has high taxation, long winters and sunset at 4 pm. However, this does not interfere with the fair half of the sex living in the country. Experts say that this is where the high-quality social security system is located. This includes good education and healthcare. All this is provided free of charge.

Gender equality is based on a well-organized structure of severance pay and maternity leave. This is confirmed by a recent Eurostat study, the authors of which named Danish pensioners the happiest in Europe.

Where is the best place to raise a child?

Various countries are trying their best to support young families, but Sweden does this best. The standards and norms here cause great indignation on the part of the United States. After all, in America there are no paid leaves for the birth of a child in the family.

Sweden offers new parents up to 480 days of leave, 60 of which go to the father. In addition, the family is provided with a monthly payment for the child. Parents also have their working hours reduced until the child reaches the age of 8 years. All this information is available on the website Sweden.se - this is the official resource of Sweden.

Most parents argue that such a system makes it possible to provide the proper level of support to both mother and father, because raising a child involves many surprises that the mother is not always able to cope with, and the opportunity to take time off from work is an extremely important point for the father. As for other countries, families think about having children after achieving some career advancement.

Where is the best place for citizens?

Definitely in Sweden. This state has the best system of caring for the population. As the results of a US News study show, the death penalty is prohibited here. Sweden has introduced a ban on corporal punishment of children.

In addition to the leader, this list includes:

  1. Canada.
  2. Denmark.
  3. Netherlands.
  4. Great Britain.

It is interesting to note that the USA did not even make it into the top ten with its values about freedom and so on.

Environment is Sweden

Surely everyone is familiar with the expression of the founder of the environmental movement, Barry Commoner - “the goal of science is not to conquer nature, but to live in harmony with it.” This statement previously looked very radical. But now this is the slogan of many who advocate preserving the environment.

Many countries striving to ensure good ecology are in a constant struggle for world leadership in this matter. The leader of the rating according to this criterion is Sweden. In assessing this indicator, the following factors were taken into account:

  1. Attitude of citizens to the state of the environment.
  2. Innovation.
  3. The population's attitude towards their health.

As a result, conclusions suggest themselves. Sweden is a country where the population is conscious of their health and cares about the environment.

All results are confirmed by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, whose participants rate Sweden's environmental performance quite highly. The country's population breathes clean air and drinks exclusively high-quality water.

The vast majority of respondents to surveys from US News & Report note that almost all European countries have a good state of the environment. This fact is confirmed by the fact that 11 European countries were included in the green rating and all were in the top 20 of this list.

Best Country to Travel – Brazil

Research by US News & World Report has shown that Brazil is a favorable destination for tourism. One of the largest states on the South American continent is in great demand among travelers. Rio de Janeiro attracts a huge number of people to the famous carnival from all over the world. Anyone who loves a beach holiday is simply obliged to visit the beaches of Brazil, because it has the longest coastline.

Canada and Turkey are in the top 20.

When researching the best countries to travel to, the following factors were taken into account:

  1. Attitude towards tourists.
  2. Climate.
  3. Nature.

The financial viability of the country plays a minimal role in such studies. The economic situation in Portugal, Greece, Spain and Italy leaves much to be desired, but this does not prevent these states from conquering the top 10 best tourism destinations.

Bottom line

In conclusion, we note that the best country in all respects in 2019 is Germany. If your emigration goals involve starting a family, having children, and you are also concerned about personal safety and social security, then Sweden will be your priority state for residence.

As for travel, every self-respecting tourist simply must visit Brazil.

In order to assess the prospects of each country considered in the ranking, you just need to go on some kind of trip and, if possible, communicate with the local population. This approach will give you more information that interests you at the moment.

To help people understand how countries are perceived globally, US News & World Report conducted a survey of 21,000 respondents from around the world. They were asked to rate 80 countries on a range of criteria, from political influence, level of education and openness to business to natural beauty, social development and quality of life.

For the first time, respondents were asked what they thought about the world's leading politicians. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and German Chancellor Angela Merkel were the most respected leaders of the countries, while the actions of US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin caused disapproval among the majority of respondents. At the same time, the level of disapproval of Trump (60%) was higher than that of Putin (44%).

The best states for quality of life 2018

Here are the countries in the world that made it into the top 10 in terms of living standards in 2018.

This small country, according to respondents, is one of the most modern states in the world. It has all the conditions for entrepreneurship, raising children and traveling alone. It is also one of the greenest countries in the world and has gender equality.

It is among the top ten countries based on such criteria as cultural influence, weight in the international arena, rich traditions and education.

America moved down one point compared to the 2017 ranking. It boasts a high level of education and leads in political influence and military strength.

At the same time, the United States has lost its traditional status as a politically stable and democratic country. Perhaps this is due to the election of Donald Trump, which is associated with numerous scandals, as well as US policy in Syria and position regarding Jerusalem. U.S. News & World Report says Trump has become more unpopular "than any other head of state or CEO" in his year as US leader.

The country to which convicts were once exiled has now become one of the most advanced in the world. It creates favorable conditions for living, learning, raising children and traveling alone. In addition, Australia is among the top 3 most comfortable countries in the world for retirement.

The Scandinavian state ranks first in the top 10 in terms of ecology. According to respondents, it is comfortable for women to live there. However, in the future, due to the influx of migrants, this situation may change.

The Land of the Rising Sun received high marks for its level of entrepreneurship, economy and rich traditions. Its competitors - Singapore and China - occupy 16th and 20th places in the ranking, respectively, and lead among the countries with the highest standard of living in Asia. All three countries have strong potential for economic growth.

The UK's fall one place since 2017 signals a growing lack of confidence in the country's economic strength post-Brexit. But respondents highly rated the level of English education.

Germany moved up one place on the 2018 list, replacing the UK, which moved to fourth position. This has been fueled by Germany's reputation as an open country with transparent government actions and strong gender equality. Germany is also number one in the field of entrepreneurship.

Countries with the most progressive social and environmental policies dominate the overall ranking. This can be seen in the examples of Canada and Switzerland. At the same time, the “maple country” is a world leader in quality of life.

The report cites Canada's major assets as Celine Dion and Sarah McLachlan, the nation's multiculturalism policy, peacekeeping efforts and Canada's oil reserves.

1. Switzerland

This is the second time the Swiss have topped the “Best Countries in the World”. This alpine land was voted by respondents as the best corporate headquarters. It also ranked second in the citizenship subsection, which considers how much a country cares about human rights, the environment, gender equality, religious freedom, property rights and the proper distribution of political power.

Switzerland's success is due in part to its stable, prosperous economy and reputation for being completely open to business. It is one of the top three places in the world to retire.

What is the situation with the standard of living in Russia?

Our country was in 26th place in the ranking, ahead of Thailand, but behind India. According to such criteria as “military strength” and “political influence,” Russia is second only to the United States. It is among the top 5 countries with the largest military budget in the world. However, respondents do not consider the Russian Federation to be a country open for business.

We have prepared a ranking of the five most attractive countries on Earth to live in. Let us say right away that there is not a single country in the CIS among the leaders. The only consolation for patriotic citizens is that the Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan are countries with a good level of human development. But let’s talk about the leaders of the 2013 ranking in more detail.

Norway is not just one of the best countries to live, but also the sole leader in the ranking. Literally everything about it is at the proper level - healthcare, the economic situation, the education system, the safety of citizens and guests. There is also a minimum of all kinds of legislative restrictions, and, accordingly, individual freedom and entrepreneurship are maximized.

The only negative is the harsh climate of the country. Cold, rainy, with a long polar night (especially in northern Norway), can discourage many who want to move here.

Following Norway in the ranking of “best countries to live,” experts unanimously place Denmark. This is a country with a rich culture, friendly people, and the climate is strikingly different from Norway - severe cold practically never happens here.

The Danes have especially advanced in the matter of public administration - the efficiency of the authorities in the kingdom is so high that in this category Denmark ranks second among all countries.

If you are a Russian and are planning to move to live in a neighboring country, then you will probably be interested in the third point. Finland, a favorite holiday destination for thousands of our compatriots, is named one of the best countries to live in. Despite the harsh climate and cold sea, it is very attractive to live here for several years.

The majority of the population speaks English (good level of education), high life safety (3rd place in the ranking of all countries), economic well-being (2nd place in the overall ranking). And the Finnish land welcomes guests from Russia cordially - obtaining a residence permit is relatively easy.

Finally, the turn of the southern countries has come. Fourth place in the ranking is occupied by Australia, the mysterious green continent. This country is one of the most dynamically developing, with life concentrated in five main coastal cities.

Education, financial well-being, security, and such a special research point as “personal space” were especially highly rated - there really are plenty of free areas here. Additionally, Australia has one of the best tourism sectors of any country.

Rounding out the ranking of the five best countries to live is another country in the southern hemisphere - New Zealand. It stands out not only for its stunning wildlife and mild climate.

The country ranks first in the ranking in terms of the efficiency of its education system, and is one of the leaders in security and economics. So if you are choosing a country where you can raise children in peace and prosperity, then pay attention to New Zealand.

Although Russia is not included in the list of the best countries in the world to live, those who want to move have plenty to choose from. Where would you go - Europe or Australia and New Zealand?
