Seats on the Boeing 777 Nord Wind. North wind

Ladies and Gentlemen! I would like to dispel all doubts regarding the services and quality of services provided on North Wind Airlines flights! I myself have repeatedly used the services of the tour operator Pegas Touristik and have flown on flights of various airlines from Orenburg Airlines to Emirates and there is something to compare with!

Fleet
North Wind is a relatively young airline and has achieved significant success since entering the charter market!
Having started its operations in December 2008, with a fleet of 3 Boeing 757-200 aircraft, and with an asset of 27 aircraft today:
Boeing 757-200 - 4(VQ-BBU, VQ-BHR, VQ-BJK, VQ-BKM);
Boeing 767-300 - 12(VP-BMC, VP-BOQ, VP-BOY, VP-BOZ, VP-BRL, VP-BWW, VP-BWX, VQ-BMQ, VQ-BMU, VQ-BOG, VQ-BPT , VQ-BRA);
Boeing 777-200 - 2(VP-BJB, VP-BJF);
Airbus A320 - 1(VP-BJH);
Airbus A321 - 7(VP-BGH, VP-BRD, VQ-BOD, VQ-BOE, VQ-BRM, VQ-BRN, VQ-BRO).
The average age of the entire park is 14 years! Whatever it is for the air fleet!

The air carrier does not plan to stop there and expects the arrival of new types of aircraft in the near future!

Base airports
Flights are operated from many regions of our homeland, the base airports being Moscow-Sheremetyevo, terminal C, Krasnoyarsk-Emelyanovo, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Antalya, Bangkok!
These airports provide comprehensive aircraft maintenance, from technical maintenance to washing blankets for passengers.
In other cities, a limited range of services is provided: cleaning the aircraft cabin, loading in-flight meals and equipment for servicing passengers during the flight. And at all, it is not because of savings that blankets are not replaced or general dry cleaning of the interior is carried out, but for technical reasons and time! Just imagine, 1 hour of parking from the moment of landing to the moment of departure of the plane, what can you accomplish in this time?

Classes of service
Today, North Wind offers three classes of passenger service: Business, comfort and economy (for passengers traveling on a BOEING 777-200 aircraft. Layout 24/53/207);
On ships, Boeing 767-300 there are two classes of service: business and economy;
Boeing 757-200, Airbus A321 one class - economy;
Airbus A320, business and economy.

Salon
At the moment, most aircraft have had their interiors replaced with red leather seats, which don’t look too bad. Legroom is no more and no less than other carriers! The backs of the seats facing the emergency exit do not recline! According to flight safety requirements! Just like the tables near the seats in a row, near the emergency exit, should not open when the latch is turned in the direction of the emergency exit. This requirement is controlled by the international authority SAFA!

In-flight services

When boarding the aircraft, you will be greeted by friendly flight attendants! They will tell you the location of the desired row and seat number!

When placing, try not to linger in the aisles or create congestion. Place all your belongings on the luggage racks, or under the seats in front of you!
Change to empty seats, but wait until passengers have boarded!

Try not to rummage through your suitcases on the luggage racks when the PSUs are demonstrating emergency exits; if you are not interested, this does not mean that the passengers sitting behind you are also indifferent to this information!

From the press, the glossy magazine Pegasus is presented, you can find it in the pocket of the chair in front of you. I recently read the latest issue.

Caramel, a separate topic for discussion, it becomes funny to read where they complain about such a trifle! When flying on regular lines of the national carrier Aeroflot, do they offer you caramel? If your ears are really stuffy, take a deep breath through your mouth! And the pain will be relieved instantly! Or you can take care of yourself and buy candy or chewing gum before departure!

Do not jump out of your seats or unfasten your seat belts! Before the “Fasten your seat belts” sign goes out! What's the rush?

During the flight, a comfortable temperature is set in the cabin, +27 ... 29 "C, if it is cool, blankets are offered first of all to children! There will be something left if adults are not deprived! Tested by experience! I personally remember from childhood how I froze on the plane , we flew on the carcass 134, so since then I always take a light blouse with me and never wear open shoes, because the air supply comes from the floor and goes up.

On the flight they offer soft drinks (usually juices: tomato, orange, apple, water, and carbonated drinks). As well as cold or hot meals depending on the duration of the flight. There really isn’t always enough hot food to choose from, but personally I’m not picky, and if I don’t have meat, I won’t refuse chicken! Or just eat a snack from lunch! Most often, the choice is from 2 types of hot dishes, which are loaded 50/50%. And the quality, or rather the taste of the dish, depends on the local food shop where it was loaded! If you write reviews about the dishes offered to you, it is better to find the contacts of the restaurant where this dish was prepared.

I flew to Tenerife and Barcelona, I noticed that before landing they offered additional soft drinks, which was a very pleasant surprise!

After the service, the children sitting next to them were offered children's magazines and sets. Which, by the way, really calmed down the restless kids, 4-5 years old.

Cleanliness in salons and restrooms

First of all, it depends on us! Those. Passengers!
It was very unpleasant when I took the safety instructions from the pocket of the chair and covered myself in chewing gum, and also found a toothpick there! Don’t get me wrong, do you also hide all the trash in the pillows on the sofa at home? Well, as a last resort, put it in a hygienic bag or you can throw it in the garbage disposal in the toilet.
The plane is cleaned by ground services, and it is not realistic for a team of 4-6 cleaners to clean all 300 seats and bring them to perfect, pristine condition in 30 minutes! It’s clean not where they clean, but where they don’t litter!

The toilets are not always in perfect condition, but as I observed, the flight attendants go there during the flight and try to maintain order! But this cannot be done after every passenger! Therefore, try to remember a few simple rules: all garbage in the garbage bin, as a rule, must be signed; do not try to stuff paper into all the cracks and compartments
Vacuum toilets, and it is advisable to refrain from any stool urination and that's enough! Put the paper in the trash bin too!
Well, please wipe the sink with a paper towel after using it! Consider yourself a guest!

Turbulence and warning lights Fasten your seat belts and don't smoke

When passing through turbulence zones, there may be bumpiness! Therefore, for your own safety, do not rush to the toilets, but stay in a chair with your seat belts fastened!
And regarding smoking, even a child should understand it! Look, the entire plane is covered with plastic, the slightest spark can lead to dire consequences! And electronic cigarettes are no exception!

Upon arrival at your destination airport, don’t rush, quickly run to the exit! Until ground services give the go-ahead for passengers to disembark, no one will leave the aircraft cabin! On average, 5-7 minutes after the plane stops in the parking lot, the door is opened for passengers to disembark.

My next flight AK NORTH WIND in early August, Moscow-Antalya-Moscow

Upon arrival at the airport, it turned out that the flight was delayed by 45 minutes. Which is not critical for me, I’m going on vacation with a great mood and attitude!

When boarding was announced, I greeted the flight attendants with the words “Hello,” to which I received in response a smile and the phrase “Welcome aboard.”
Aircraft Boeing 777-200, BP-BJF

I settled in, made myself comfortable, seat 27A, economy class, the cabin was neat and clean!
It turned out a little later that the backrest was in a vertical position the entire flight, as there was an emergency exit behind me.
A video system monitor is installed in the chair; the only entertainment program is a route map.

A little later we were greeted by the commander and senior flight attendant. Unfortunately I don't remember the names. I was pleased with the travel time of 2:30, and I was even glad that the non-reclining backrest on my seat would not cause me any inconvenience.

Takeoff and landing were 5+, the plane was very large and heavy!

On the flight they gave us something to drink and eat! This procedure greatly shortens the flight time, which makes me very happy! The food is not bad enough! Choose from pasta with ham or fish and rice!

The flight went smoothly!
I counted about 7 flight attendants in the cabin! Everyone is smiling and friendly! But as I understand it, they will have a return flight to Moscow! I think the fatigue of takeoff and landing still makes itself felt! And on the way back they won't be so happy

On boarding, one of the passengers became ill and lost consciousness, but the flight attendant who was nearby promptly provided medical assistance!

Don't treat guys and girls as service personnel! They are not waiters or cleaners! And we are ready to come to your aid in any situation! Therefore, be careful about their difficult work!

Overall happy with everything! The main thing is my attitude!
Don't forget to smile and be polite! And all good things will return to you, comrade compatriots!

When preparing the reviews, photographs were used from open sources on the Internet, the official website of the carrier and tour operator, as well as from personal archives.
Thank you for attention!

The Russian airline NordWind will lease two more wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft. We are talking about a modification of the Boeing 777-300ER. By ordering these aircraft, the carrier became a new client of the Dubai leasing company DAE Capital (a division of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise), the aircraft owner reports. The previous operator of the aircraft was Taiwanese carrier EVA Airways.

As a representative of the carrier told the website, “in order to implement the strategy of feeder transportation to 200 destinations for autumn-winter navigation, NordWind Airlines continues to expand its own fleet of wide-body aircraft and announces the preparation for operation of two Boeing 777-300 aircraft.” The first aircraft will arrive at the carrier’s base airport, Sheremetyevo (Moscow), on August 31. In the first week of September, after customs procedures, it will be put into operation on routes from Moscow. The airline will accept the second flight within the next week.

Boeing 777-300ER aircraft produced in 2005 will receive tail numbers VP-BJL and VP-BJO. They will be the first aircraft in the NordWind fleet with a three-class layout (312 seats in total: 38 in business class, 63 in premium economy class and 211 in economy class).

The former operator of both Boeing 777-300ER NordWinds is the Taiwanese airline EVA Airways

The NordWind fleet already has four Boeing 777s of a different modification - Boeing 777-200 (equipped with 393 seats in two classes). With the receipt of two aircraft, the airline's fleet will have 22 aircraft. In addition to the Boeing 777, we are talking about the wide-body Airbus A330-200, as well as narrow-body and Boeing 737-800. By the end of 2017, four more aircraft are expected to arrive.

According to the results of January–July, NordWind passenger traffic increased by 85.4%, to 1.598 million people. At the same time, the seat occupancy rate decreased by 2.9 percentage points, to 86.9%.

When buying a plane ticket, we often worry about which seats we will get. Of course, if you have the opportunity to fly business class, it makes everything easier. The rest can only hope for the best. We'll show you all the best seats on the Boeing 777-200.

Boeing 777-200 designed for long-term non-stop flights up to 10,000 kilometers. It has an increased fuel capacity and a maximum capacity of about 400 people. This is not a new model. it has been produced since 1995.

  • Wingspan– 60.9 meters.
  • Length– 63.7 meters.
  • Height– 18.3 meters.
  • Cabin width– 5.86 meters.
  • Maximum flight altitude – 13.14 kilometers.

Russian airlines also use these machines. Unfortunately, they are far from new and have flown hundreds of thousands of kilometers. Each air carrier installs seats as it sees fit. We will look at the cabin layout using the examples of two airlines: "Nord Wind" And Emirate s.

"Nord Wind"

This airline expects to accommodate 393 passengers in two classes - economy and business. However, there are only 6 seats in business class. They are located in row 1. The distance from the seat to the partition is 127 cm, the chairs have comfortable headrests, footrests and can be used in a semi-recumbent position.

The remaining seats are included in economy class. The distance between the backs of seats in one row is 74 cm, as stated on the airline’s website. They are located in three rows in the cabin. The central row consists of 4 seats, the side rows - of 3. Most passengers find this arrangement uncomfortable. Great overcrowding, problems with going to the toilet.

The salon has 3 galleys at the front and one at the rear. There are several toilet rooms, mainly in the central and tail sections. There are a total of 8 exits on the plane, 4 on each side.

The most convenient places

There are no good places as such. You can count them as seats in front of the emergency exit or next to the partition in business class. You can sit on them more comfortably and stretch your legs. It will be more convenient for passengers with children. But even here, not everyone will like the proximity to the toilet.

Comfortable for those traveling together will be the seats in the rear of the cabin, where the fuselage narrows. There, three chairs turn into two. But the proximity to the toilet and the constant queue of people wanting to get into it does not add any romanticism to the flight.

It's convenient to sit next to the aisle so you don't have to ask anyone if you suddenly want to stretch your legs. But on the other hand, your neighbors will “walk” through you, and you will have to take time off from your business.

The most uncomfortable places

There are many more of them. The most uncomfortable places are those with their backs to emergency exits. Their backrests do not recline; you will have to spend the entire flight in a 90-degree position. If the flight is long, this can lead to problems with your back and legs. Also, the last seats with their backs to the partitions do not recline.

Passengers flying in other seats are in approximately the same position.

Emirates

This airline is considered one of the best in the world. She doesn't skimp on her passengers. However, the prices for the flights it operates are quite high. Emirates operates two seating schemes – 2-class and 3-class.

Salon with 2 classes

This includes economy and business class seats. In the bow there are 42 comfortable business-level seats. There is a large distance between them; you can recline the back and raise the footrest. This compartment has its own kitchen and its own toilet rooms. The chairs are in three rows. There are two chairs in the outer ones, and three in the central one. All this allows you to fly in much more pleasant conditions than ordinary passengers. However, a ticket to this part of the cabin costs much more.

The remaining 304 seats are occupied by economy class passengers. They also stand in three rows, but in a 3-4-3 pattern. The backrests here do not recline, but only come to a position of 45-50 degrees. The distance between the seats allows you to stretch your legs.

The layout is similar to the salon "Nord Wind" , but in Emirates there are 50 fewer seats, and this gives another +20-25 centimeters between the seats. There are several kitchens here, mostly in the tail. Toilets are located in the center of the salon.

The most comfortable chairs are also located in front of the partitions, there is more legroom and it is possible to place a baby cradle. But some people, on the contrary, like to have a chair in front of them. After all, at the moment of descent it is convenient to hold on to it.

Inconvenient places near the toilets, with their backs to the partitions. The Emirates has a little headroom for reclining, but not as much as the others. Also, this airline does not have seats facing the emergency aisles. They are prohibited from tilting for safety reasons.

Salon with 3 classes

This aircraft has first, business and economy class seats.

In the bow there are 12 elite first class seats. You can't call them armchairs, they are mini-rooms with a bed. More like SV-compartment trains.

The central and rear sections of the cabin are occupied by 176 economy class seats. They are located in three rows. There are 4 chairs in the center, 3 at the portholes. In the middle and at the end of this compartment there are toilets, the kitchen is at the rear. We will not repeat ourselves about convenient and inconvenient places; they coincide with the conditions of the previous scheme.

Nowadays it’s very easy to choose comfortable seats in the cabin - use online check-in for your flight.

Pleasant flight!

The Boeing 777 is a family of large twin-engine passenger aircraft. Models in this range can accommodate several hundred passengers – from 301 to 550 people. In addition, these aircraft are capable of flying vast distances. The record range is 21 thousand kilometers. The airliners of this line are equipped with the most powerful engines ever used in passenger aviation.

The aircraft of this series became a legend before they even appeared. Project 777 aircraft are perhaps the most popular among operators today.

History of creation

In the 1970s, the constant growth in the popularity of passenger air travel led to the fact that existing aircraft at that time could no longer meet the increased demand. To update the line of airliners, Boeing began to develop new models - the twin-engine 757 and 767, as well as the three-engine 777.

The new airliners would compete with products from Airbus, McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed. However, later the 777 project had to be abandoned due to limited resources and low demand.

The situation changed in the 1980s, when wide-body aircraft became in demand.

At first it was planned to carry out modernization, but the presented project did not satisfy the airline.

Carriers needed an aircraft similar in configuration to the Boeing 747, but designed to fly relatively short distances. The use of three engines was already redundant, and the new car received two engines.

For the project of the revived Boeing 777, the company took a non-standard approach. The development of the aircraft was carried out in constant cooperation with several major airlines. They conducted surveys among passengers, and then combined their results with their requirements for the new liner. Thanks to this approach, it was possible to create an aircraft that is better suited to end users than others.

Development of the Boeing 777 began in 1990. Five years later, the first copy appeared on commercial airlines.

Production

Boeing chose a plant in Everett to manufacture the aircraft. The production area had to be increased almost 2 times. Assembly lines were added that could rotate the fuselage 180 degrees.

Boeing 777-200 model range

The first flight of the Boeing 777 base model 200 was made in June 1994. And less than a year later, United Airlines received its first airliner for commercial operation.

After the success of the first model, the company began developing an airliner designed for flights between continents across the Atlantic Ocean.

This Boeing modification was designated 777-200ER. It turned out to be very popular and became the best-selling aircraft model.

The Boeing 777, model 200LR, has the longest range of any commercial airliner in existence. It is capable of non-stop flights between most airports in the world. The aircraft of this particular modification made a record flight over half the length of the equator and lasting about a day.

Boeing 777-300 model range

Models with the number 300 in the name are versions of aircraft with an extended fuselage. The Boeing 777-300 modification was intended to replace the old Boeing 747. These models have comparable payload and flight range, but the 777 is 30% more fuel efficient and 40% cheaper to operate.

The improved model of the Boeing 777-300 aircraft was designated 777-300ER.

This is the largest and heaviest airliner in the Boeing 777 family. The flight range has been increased by a third. To achieve such characteristics, many design elements have been improved in this modification and additional fuel tanks have been added.

The Boeing 777, originally intended to carry passengers, also has a cargo modification called the Boeing 777 Freighter. This aircraft takes on board more than a hundred tons of cargo and flies over a distance of more than 9,000 kilometers.

Prospects

Since 2013, Boeing has been developing the promising Boeing 777X series. The company plans to begin production of these aircraft by 2020.

This airliner will combine all available engine and design improvements to make it the most fuel-efficient aircraft in the world.

Design

The speed and range of an aircraft is determined by how much it weighs. Boeing, starting with the first model 777-200, began to use high technology much more widely than before:

  • composite materials in the fuselage structure;
  • Fly-by-Wire digital control system;
  • avionics with replaceable software;
  • LCD screens in the cockpit;
  • on-board information network on fiber optics.

Thanks to such innovations, it was possible to reduce the weight of the aircraft and their cost. The takeoff weight of an empty Boeing 777 ranges from 140 to 170 tons.

Cockpit

When designing the cockpit for the Boeing 777, special attention was paid to comfort. Comfortable seats, quiet background noise, good visibility - already in the base model 200 everything was done to ensure that pilots had no distractions.

Flight and diagnostic information is displayed on panels and color displays for better human perception. For the crew to rest during long flights, special places with chairs and beds are provided.

Interior

The interior design of the Boeing 777 is known for its flowing lines, spacious overhead bins and ambient lighting. Airlines themselves determine how many seats they need to install.

The number of seats depends on the number of classes and the layout of seats in the cabin.

From four to ten chairs are installed in a row in different classes. There is more space above the middle row thanks to drop-down luggage compartments.

Glider

Composite materials used to lighten the airframe's structure account for nine percent of the total weight. The wing profile is designed for the speed of the Boeing 777, which reaches 84% of the speed of sound in cruising flight. Thanks to its wingspan and increased strength, the Boeing 777 can fly at altitudes of up to 13 kilometers.

Engines

The Boeing 777 family, starting with the base model 200, uses the most modern engines. Thanks to them, the speed of the Boeing 777 aircraft approaches the speed of sound.

Their record power provides the aircraft with excellent flight characteristics. Engines for aircraft of this line are manufactured by General Electric.

Avionics

The airliners are equipped with small computers. The design provides for their easy replacement during modernization. The EFIS digital complex includes:

  • LCD displays;
  • data management system and library with information about aircraft subsystems;
  • power management system;
  • control system for cabin sealing and air parameters.

Chassis

Boeing 777 aircraft have six-wheel landing gear. This achieves effective load distribution when moving along the runway. Due to the large size of the tires, it was necessary to improve the braking system. Each of the six tires in the landing gear can withstand a load of up to 27 tons, which is more than that of.

Flight performance compared to competitors

The 1990s saw significant changes in the passenger airliner market. Some companies were absorbed by larger ones. Some aircraft makers have exited the market due to economic difficulties and declining demand. As a result, only two manufacturers remained - Airbus in Europe and Boeing in the USA.

Russia continues to produce passenger aircraft, but production volumes do not compare with the two largest suppliers of aircraft.

Their aircraft are present in all niches of passenger transportation. This preserves competition, and carrier companies have the opportunity to choose airliners that have the most suitable technical characteristics.

The flight performance characteristics of the Boeing 777 aircraft in comparison with competing models from Airbus are presented in the tables.

Exploitation

The Boeing 777 was developed taking into account the wishes of carrier companies and passengers. Thanks to this, the airliner takes into account most of the details that make up a comfortable flight.

Advantages

A significant advantage of aircraft of this line is the smoothness of takeoff and landing. Improved sound insulation significantly reduces engine noise.

The wide luggage racks can accommodate even large bags. To entertain passengers during long flights, multimedia systems are built into the backs of the seats.

Flaws

When ordering aircraft, airlines themselves choose the cabin layout. Some airlines, wanting to make more profit, install too many seats. The result of this approach is crowding and inconvenience for passengers, especially in economy class.

Flight safety

The Boeing 777 is considered the safest aircraft in the world. It has not experienced a single confirmed disaster due to equipment failure.

There were emergency landings and fires, but after that most of the airliners returned to service.

4 people died in these incidents. During operation since 1995, 6 aircraft of this type were lost. Two events stand out in particular, in which 537 people died.

In March 2014, a Malaysia Airlines plane disappeared from radar. The Boeing 777-200 was believed to have crashed into the Indian Ocean. During three years of searching, several fragments of the fuselage were discovered, but the cause of the fall could not be determined. There are many versions, but none of them has received sufficient evidence.

The second event was the crash that occurred with the Boeing 777-200ER near Donetsk on July 17, 2014. The flight of the same company, Malaysia Airlines, was shot down while flying over the combat area. As a result of a lengthy investigation, the commission determined that the plane was shot down by a surface-to-air missile of the Buk complex. However, it was not established which one of those involved in the conflict shot down the Boeing.

Interesting facts and records are associated with the Boeing 777 line of aircraft:

  • When designing the 777-200, the first model of this family, not a single drawing was made on paper. For the first time, the entire development process was completed using only computers.
  • The General Electric GE90-115B engine, installed on the Boeing 777 models 200LR and 300ER, is the largest and most powerful in the world.
  • The longest single-engine flight was made by the Boeing 777-200ER. The duration was 177 minutes.
  • A Boeing 777 made a non-stop flight over a distance of 21,601 km. For a 200LR model airliner, the flight from Hong Kong to London took 22 hours and 42 minutes.

Nordwind Airlines

Nordwind Airlines – translated as “North Wind” – is a Russian airline that operates Boeing 777-200ER and 777-300ER aircraft.

Present on the passenger air transportation market since 2008. The Nordwind fleet has 21 aircraft, of which five are Boeing 777.

The Boeing 777-200 has a cabin that can accommodate 393 seats. It includes business class and economy class. The seating arrangement on the plane is as follows:

  • business class – 2-2-2 layout;
  • economy class - most rows 3-4-3, some rows 2-4-2.

In economy class, there are several rows that differ from most others in terms of convenience. In rows numbered 5 and 6 there are seats in front of which there are no seats. There will be no problems with the reclining seat of the front neighbor; there is enough room for the knees of even a tall person. There is also relatively plenty of space in front of rows 12, 14, 15, 33 and 34, but there are toilets nearby, which does not contribute to comfort.

The cabin on Boeing 777-300 aircraft is divided into three classes and can accommodate 312 passengers. The seating arrangement is as follows:

  • business class – 1-2-1;
  • comfort class - 2-4-2;
  • economy class - most rows are 3-3-3, some rows are 2-3-2.

The best seats in comfort class are in row 20. In economy class, there is additional space in front of seats in rows 45, 46, 60 and 61, but nearby toilets reduce the amenities.

Boeing 777 aircraft from Nordwind are quite attractive for long flights due to their safety and level of comfort.

Video

Nordwind Airlines uses 2 Boeing 777-200ER aircraft for long flights or on busy flights. The configuration of these aircraft provides two classes of service: business and economic. The passenger capacity of the airliner is 393 people.

Let's take a closer look at the cabin configuration and find out which seats on the plane are the best and which are not.

1 row is the only one in business class. The amenities in this row correspond to the class as much as possible: the distance from the seat to the partition declared by the airline is 127 cm. The seats are distributed in pairs.

Economy class starts from row 5. According to information from the airline, the distance between the rows is 74 cm. It should be noted that on these planes the seats are arranged in a 3-4-3 pattern, which is not very convenient for passengers. The disadvantage is due to the cramped interior.

At places in 5th and 6th row has both its advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantages include the fact that in front of passengers there is a solid partition that serves as the boundary between “business” and “economy” classes. There is plenty of knee room, but it will be difficult to straighten your legs. In addition, you will have to look at the wall during the entire flight.

The advantages of such seats include the fact that no one will recline the seat back on you, which is very important when making long flights and a short distance between the rows.

All chairs in 12, 13 and 14 rows(except 12K, 12J and 12H) may have limited backrest deflection. The proximity to the on-board kitchen is an inconvenience.

U 20 rows There are the same advantages and disadvantages as the 5th row. But in front of passengers there will be not a partition of salons, but a wall of restrooms. The close placement of toilets causes inconvenience due to the constant walking of passengers, slamming doors and sounds of the tank being flushed, etc.

IN 21st row (D, E, F, G) also inconvenient due to their proximity to toilets, but there is enough free space for legs.

Places 21H and 21C could be called comfortable if not for the close location of the restrooms.

In addition to all the above-mentioned disadvantages, queues may accumulate near passengers, they may get touched by an elbow or stepped on a foot.

IN 38 and 39 rows The seat backs may not recline or may have limitations in this regard. Also, the proximity to toilets causes discomfort.

Some modifications of this airliner have 1-2 rows without windows. In this cabin layout, such seats are located in the middle section (rows 20-39 of the cabin). We advise you to check this information with an airline representative in advance.

45 row located near the emergency hatches, so there is a lot of free legroom. The same restrooms interfere with a comfortable flight, next to which queues constantly accumulate and you have to endure extraneous noises and smells.

Places 46 rows (D, E, F, G) rest against the wall of the toilet. Of course, no one will recline your seat, but in a wide-body, two-aisle layout, staring at a wall on a long flight can be tiring.

Places in 53 row (C and H)- the last ones in the 3-4-3 arrangement, then the fuselage narrows, the backs of these seats can be touched by passing passengers or flight attendants with trolleys.

IN 54-56 rows The seats have a 2-4-2 layout, which is a little more comfortable, especially if you are flying as a couple.

Last 57 and 58 rows most likely have fixed seat backs. Also, places are located near toilets and other technical rooms. Bad places.

Boeing 777-200 - cabin layout and best seats

Nordwind Airlines' fleet includes three Boeing 777-200 aircraft. The tail numbers of these aircraft are: VP-BJB, VQ-BUD and VP-BJF. The planes are far from new and have flown for several airlines. These include companies from Asian countries - China and Vietnam:

  • The VP-BJB made its first flight in January 1998. Between 1998 and 2013 it was operated by China Southern Airlines.
  • The VQ-BUD aircraft made its first flight in September 1998. It was operated at different times by Aeroflot companies - Russian Airlines and Vietnam Airlines. Nord Wind came into use in May 2014.
  • The VP-BJF aircraft made its first flight in March 2004. Between 2004 and 2013 it was operated by China Southern Airlines.

The aircraft's cabin has a two-class layout (business and economy classes). Capacity is 393 people. This is 70 people more than the same Boeing 777-200 from Transaero (323 people in total). There are two explanations for this. Firstly, the Nord Winda plane has a very small business class - only 6 seats, the remaining 387 seats are in economy class. Secondly, the arrangement of seats in the rows of economy class played a big role. Nord-Wind has a 3-4-3 scheme (Transaero has a 3-3-3 scheme). This is a rather compact option, which is why it is necessary to use narrower seats and narrow the aisles between the rows.

Selecting the best seats on a Boeing 777-200

Diagram of the aircraft cabin, presented on the official Nord Wind website:

Let's move on to analyzing the best and worst places in this cabin layout.

Row 1. Business class aircraft. There's nothing special here. The distance from the seat to the partition is 127 cm. The seats themselves are approximately 1.5 times wider than in economy class. There are comfortable retractable footrests. There are six such places in total.

Row 5-6. First row of economy class Boeing 777-200. Good places to fly, but with some disadvantages. Let's start with the positives. Since it’s the first row, no one will lean back on you. The second point is that there are no toilets or kitchens nearby, which means it’s more peaceful here.

The disadvantages are that the distance to the partition is not very large. The knees fit without problems, but you won’t be able to fully extend your legs. Also, the presence of a partition in front of your eyes can spoil the impression of the flight a little. The seat pitch in the economy row is 74 cm.

Row 12. The diagram shows that the seats are located close to the kitchen, which means there is a little more movement here. Also, the seat backs may be limited in reclining due to the partition behind the row. Not the best seats in the cabin for a flight.

Row 20. A rather contradictory row of seats. On the one hand, there is no row in front, which means no one will lean back on you. On the other hand, there is not much space up to the partition (disadvantages of the 5th row). In addition, there are toilets and a kitchen nearby, and this causes additional inconvenience (passenger movement, bustle, slamming doors, smells, etc.).

Row 21. The most convenient places here are only seats C and H, since there are no seats in front of them and you can fully stretch your legs. The only things that spoil the picture are nearby toilets and constantly wandering passengers.

Rows 30 to 39. According to reviews from passengers, these rows of the plane are more stuffy due to the lack of an individual air conditioning system. Cool air begins to flow from the 20th row, so it does not always reach the last rows. Not the best choice for people in poor health.

Row 39. Uncomfortable places. The seat backs are limited in reclining due to the partition from the toilets and the emergency exit. But they will recline the chair on you without any problems, which will leave even less space. There will also be increased passenger traffic throughout the flight.

Row 45. Good places to fly, but with characteristic disadvantages. An emergency exit at the front gives you extra legroom and no one will throw the back of your seat back on you. These are the advantages. The disadvantages are the close proximity of toilets. Also, seats A and K may not have armrests on the side of the aircraft.

Row 46. The seats rest against the wall, so row 6 has disadvantages. There are also toilets nearby.

Row 53. Seats in diagram C and H. The narrowing of the aircraft fuselage begins here, so the outermost aisle seats are subject to constant contact with passing passengers and flight attendant carts.

Row 54-56. The outermost seats have only two seats, so they are convenient for flying in pairs.

Row 57-58. Some of the most uncomfortable places to fly. The row is characterized by all the disadvantages inherent in rows 38 and 39. Namely: there is no possibility to recline the chair, high noise and smells from the toilets, constant bustle and queues.

interior layout and best Nordwind seats

The Boeing 777 200 aircraft is a new generation airliner that allows you to make long flights in comfort. After reading the article, you will learn what the interior looks like from the inside and how to choose the best seats when buying a ticket.

The 777 200 airliner is part of the fleet of the Northern Wind company, founded in 2008. Nordwind organizes charter flights and is licensed for private and cargo flights.

The company's fleet consists of 21 aircraft, of which 3 are Boeing 777-200ER (ER - literally Extended Range, which means increased flight range). The model entered active service in 1995, and the first flight was made in 1994.

In the Nordwind fleet, Boeings have tail numbers: VP-BJF, VP-BJB, VQ-BUD.

  1. VP-BJF. The youngest of the partners. Until he was 13, he flew for a Chinese airline, after which he took over NordWind;
  2. VP-BJB. He began his flight experience in '98 also in the Chinese airlines fleet, where he remained until 2013, then he was acquired by the current company;
  3. VQ-BUD. Created in 1998, it was owned by several air carriers, including Aeroflot. North Wind bought Boeing in 2014.

Advantages of the 777-200 aircraft

North Wind strives to optimize the composition of the park, making it possible to improve quality and create comfortable conditions.

The Boeing 777 200 is a wide-body passenger aircraft. The aircraft layout includes 393 passenger seats, which are divided into 2 classes: economy and business. It is capable of serving flights up to 18 hours non-stop.

Interesting fact: in 2003, Boeing set an emergency record for flying on one engine for almost 3 hours with passengers on board.

Features and capabilities of the court:

The fly-by-wire control system allows you to automatically avoid potentially dangerous maneuvers during flight and ensures that the pilots’ actions do not exceed acceptable limits. If necessary, the pilot can disable the system.

The Boeing 777 200er has the largest tires and landing gear of any commercial jet.

The interior is made in curved lines. There are shelves for oversized luggage. Before the creation of the 787 airliner, Boeing was considered the aircraft with the largest window sizes. There are designated crew rest areas located in the forward compartment of the aircraft. These include:

  1. 2-3 sleeping places;
  2. Two armchairs;
  3. Washbasin;
  4. TV.

Passenger cabin configuration of 777-200 Nordwind

There are 3 kitchen spaces and utility rooms, which are located at the beginning, middle and end. Restrooms are also allocated at the beginning and end of the plane. The seats in the stalls are made with a hydraulic hinge, which allows you to gently lower the toilet lid. There are two bathrooms, which are often located in front and behind next to the toilet rooms.

The layout allows employees to change the configuration of galleys, lavatories and seating depending on the needs of a particular flight.

Salons are distinguished by type of layout:

  1. Economy class for 440 seats;
  2. Economy and business class 396 seats;
  3. Economy, first, business 306 seats.

Let's consider a basic modification of the board with two classes.

Business Class

Occupies the front part of the aircraft. No more than 10 places are allocated for this category. Offers passengers a configuration of 4 seats in a row. They are arranged according to the number of seats 2-2-2, sometimes 2-3-2. For business class, Nord Wind claims a distance of 127 cm from the seat to the partition.

Peculiarities:

  • the seats are one and a half times wider than the economy category and can be transformed into a sleeping place;
  • reclining backrests extend more than in economy;
  • comfortable armrests;
  • restaurant menu;
  • there are retractable footrests.

Economy class

Starts from the 5th row. The distance between the seat backs is 74 cm. There are no footrests, but the chairs are quite comfortable, with armrests. They are made of ergonomic materials. The backrests recline slightly due to lack of space. There is a folding table, seat belts, earplugs and a storage pocket.

Economy class occupies 90% of the passenger compartment. The breakdown of seats is as follows: 3 on the left, 4 in the center, 3 on the right. Most clients find this arrangement uncomfortable due to the narrow passages, constantly cruising passengers to the toilet.

During the flight you can watch movies and drink cocktails. The electronic panel allows you to track the location of the aircraft en route.

Choosing the best place

The first rows of economy class (5-6) have the undeniable advantage that there are no passengers who could recline the seat back on you. These seats in Boeing are considered good for flights and the most comfortable.

Information for mothers: in these places you can place a cradle with your baby in front of you.

The disadvantages of the row are the wall in front of the face, behind which the business class is located.

This is a quiet space, as toilets, bathrooms and kitchens are located further down the cabin. Another disadvantage is that you cannot fully extend your legs in front of you due to the partition.

Row 20 is similar to rows 5 and 6, but instead of business class there is a toilet partition in front, which means regular disturbance for passengers. This also includes seats from row 21 and seats G, F, D, E.

The advantage of row 45 is the ability to stretch your legs and straighten your knees due to the location of the emergency hatches.

For traveling couples, seats in the last row of the plane may become comfortable due to the narrowing of the fuselage. Instead of 3 seats, there are 2. The disadvantage is the likelihood of hitting a passenger with a trolley carried by a flight attendant, as well as a line of people standing in the restroom.

Bad places: how not to make a mistake

Rows 38 and 39 are among the most uncomfortable. The chairs do not recline; in some cases there are restrictions on the level of inclination. Another minus is the proximity of the restroom.

53C and 54H are considered uncomfortable places due to the fact that passing passengers can easily hit you with their elbows. In addition, flight attendants with trolleys cause inconvenience during the flight.

Row 57,58: located at the rear of the cabin. The proximity of onboard kitchens, utility rooms and other technical spaces is inconvenient. They have restrictions in reclining the backrests or are completely blocked.

Experienced travelers do not recommend choosing rows 13,14,12. Due to restrictions on backrest deflection and the presence of a kitchen in the immediate vicinity.

From approximately rows 20 to 39, portholes may be missing in some places. This is a big minus for some travelers. For accurate information about the availability of a window, it is better to consult a company representative before purchasing a ticket.

Before making a purchase, pay attention to the following nuances:

  1. Study the interior layout and then make a purchasing decision;
  2. Do not take seats in the back of the plane, except for rows 40-41, which are suitable for those traveling in pairs;
  3. Avoid places near toilets due to unnecessary noise and queues;
  4. Buy tickets in advance to be able to choose the best seat. An additional bonus will be a lower price.

Boeing 777-200 Nord Wind: interior diagram

The Boeing 777 is a family of wide-body aircraft designed to transport passengers over long distances. Known in the aviation community as the Boeing Three Seven. The development of the aircraft began in the 90s of the 20th century, the first flight was made in 1994, and serial operation since 1995.

The peculiarity of the Boeing 777 aircraft is a full-fledged development outside of paper drawings: the airliner was completely designed on a computer in the most modern program at that time.

The Boeing 777 family of airliners can accommodate an average of 400 passengers, depending on the configuration presented, with a flight range of 9 to 17 thousand kilometers. The maximum record set was 21 thousand kilometers. The Boeing 777 is today the world's largest twin-engine airliner, with the most powerful jet engines in aviation history and six-wheel landing gear.

"Boeing 777-200"

The 200th modification of the Boeing 777 is the first to be put into serial use. It was this aircraft that made a test flight with a Pratt and Whitney engine in 1994, then modifications with other jet engines were tested for further use in 1995. The liner can accommodate from 305 to 440 passengers, depending on the cabin layout.

When designing the aircraft, the manufacturer paid special attention to the wishes of passengers. The Boeing 777-200 aircraft has such advantages as a smooth takeoff and landing process, almost complete absence of engine noise, business class seats with increased comfort and ergonomics (wide shelves for placing hand luggage). Since the plane is designed for fairly long flights, many airlines build modern multimedia systems into the backs of the seats for in-flight entertainment.

Boeing 777-200ER: features and advantages

What else is different about the plane? The Boeing 777-200ER is also a long-range airliner with a wide fuselage, which is a modification of the 777-200 with a higher take-off weight and flight length.

The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft can accommodate from 314 to 440 passengers and fly a distance of up to 14 thousand kilometers. The main purpose of this aircraft is tedious transatlantic transportation, which takes an average of 14 hours.

The first flight of the modification took place in 1996; commercial operation began in early 1997. To this day, the main competitor is the Airbus-made A330-300, which is lighter weight and has more advanced pilot systems.

Nevertheless, in total, more than eight hundred aircraft of the 777-300ER version were sold. This makes this model the most popular in the 777 family among both foreign and Russian air carriers. For example, the North Wind company.

Boeing 777-200 Nord Wind interior diagram

Nordwind Airlines (“Nord Wind”, or “North Wind”) was registered in May 2008 as a company engaged in international charter passenger and cargo transportation. The route network of this company covers almost the entire world, in particular, popular resorts.

The company's fleet consists of 21 aircraft, three of which are Boeing 777-200 modifications “ER”: VP-BJF, VP-BJH, VQ-BUD. The VP-BJF modification first took to the air in 1998, the VP-BJH and VP-BJF airliners - in 2004. All aircraft were purchased by North Wind from Asian airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Vietnam Airlines and China Airlines, which used the 777-200ER for flights across the Pacific Ocean, as well as to Europe.

The best seats on the Boeing 727-200 Nord Wind

Let's focus on seating on the plane. The layout of the Boeing 777-200 (Nord Wind) cabin of aircraft modifications VP-BJH and VP-BJF is arranged as follows: three-four-three, some rows: two-four-two, and in business class - by two seats in each row. The significant difference is that the VP-BJH has only 30 business class seats, while the other has only 6. The total number of seats according to the Boeing 777-200 (Nord Wind) cabin layout is 285 and 393 seats, respectively. This confirms the fact that the Boeing 777-200 can be used for long-distance flights or on routes with decent passenger traffic.

The VQ-BUD, which was used for flights from Vietnam to Australia, the USA, as well as European countries, has a total of 6 business class seats and 387 economy class seats. This makes the cabin layout of the Boeing 777-200 (Nord Wind) similar to that of the younger VP-BJF aircraft, both in terms of the arrangement of seats in the cabin and its intended purpose. The seating arrangement in business class is similar to its counterparts, however, economy class is arranged in a three-four-three configuration, which is one of the worst cabin configurations on the Boeing 727-200 of Nord Wind Airlines due to the fact that passengers may be quite cramped.

The best seats on the aircraft in all presented configurations are 5-6, 20-21, 45-46 for VP-BJF; 5-6, 12, 14 (A, C, H, K), 15 (C, H), 33-34 for VQ-BUD; 31.46 for VP-BJH - due to the sufficient amount of legroom during a long flight, but with a significant drawback - possible noise and smell from the toilet. All other seats are limited in space, without a reclining back, in the aisle or next to the kitchen.

Results

Summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of the Boeing 777-200, it is worth coming to the conclusion that the aircraft is quite flexible both to the requirements of the client and to the needs of airlines for any purpose - charter or scheduled.

It should be noted that many companies take these aircraft to meet the needs of their market, but some Russian ones buy them back after operation in other countries. This is evidenced by the layout of the Nord Wind Boeing 777-200 cabin, where the pitch of the economy class seats is within 74 centimeters, and the backrest angle is much less than in similar modifications of other airlines engaged in transportation on a regular basis.

However, despite the disadvantages, the 777-200 remains the most attractive of the Boeing line for long flights, combined with large capacity, the ability to fly autonomously for up to 2 hours with the engine turned off, as well as convenience for passengers of all classes.

Cabin layout and best seats of the Boeing 777-200 Nordwind

Northern Wind Airlines or Nordwind is popular among Russian passengers. The carrier offers flights at reasonable prices throughout the country and abroad. The company's fleet includes aircraft of many brands, but the most popular is the Boeing 777-200 (three aircraft in total).

Boeing 777-200 ER

Boeing appeared in 1994. Then many world airlines noticed them and purchased them for their fleet. Due to their good technical characteristics, the aircraft were used for medium and long-distance flights. Specifications:

  • Length – 64 m.
  • Wingspan – 60 m.
  • Capacity – up to 400 people.
  • Maximum speed – 965 km/h.
  • The maximum flight range is up to 15,000 km.

Airplanes

Nordwind Airlines has three Boeing aircraft with tail numbers - VP-BJB, VQ-BUD and VP-BJF. Each aircraft has already served other companies, even Asian ones, more than once.

  • VP-BJB. He began working in 1998 in the China Southern Airlines fleet, where he remained until 2013, and then joined Nord Wind.
  • VQ-BUD. He also began flying in 1998 and changed several airlines, including Aeroflot and Vietnam Airlines. He joined the Northern Wind company in 2014.
  • VP-BJF. A little younger than his brothers. In 2004 he joined China Southern Airlines, where he flew until 2013, and then moved to the current airline.

Each aircraft is supposed to use two classes - business and economy. By the way, Boeing’s capacity exceeds 380 people, and sometimes reaches 400.

Interior layout

Although there are two service classes, business class most often has no more than 10 seats. In economy class, seating is most often arranged in a 3-4-3 configuration, which results in narrower aisles. In general, the aircraft interior looks like this:

At the tail of the plane, sometimes the seats are arranged in a “2-4-2” pattern, which means the aisle becomes wider. The plane has 4 exits, this factor should be taken into account when choosing the best seat in the cabin.

The business class seats are very comfortable, there is a lot of legroom, and the backrests recline at a wide angle. Economy class seats have armrests and the backrests recline in all rows, but not much in some. There is a dark colored carpet on the floor. Each chair has a reclining table, seat belts, and a pocket for personal belongings. Economy seats on a Boeing 777-200 Nord Wind look something like this:

The best seats on the plane

Best places:

  • First row These are business class seats. Here the seats are arranged in pairs, the distance between the seats has been increased. The backrests can recline more and there is additional legroom. The seats themselves are more comfortable here than in the other class. They look something like in the photo:

  • Fifth row. This is where economy class begins. The interesting thing is that in this row there are only central seats D to G. There are conveniences here: there will be a partition in front of you, not seats, which means that the seats will not recline towards you. But, on the other hand, because of the partition you won’t be able to spread your legs, and you’ll also have to look at the wall, because there aren’t even any windows nearby.
  • Sixth row. This is the first row for economy class, where all the seats A through K appear. But the most comfortable seats here are the side ones - A, B, C, H, J and K. These seats have increased legroom, the partition will not confuse you. Plus, lunch will be served to you first, so you won't have to wait long.
  • Rows 20 and 21. A bit similar to rows 5 and 6, but they are located not behind business class, but behind the toilet. There is a little more legroom, but the proximity to the restrooms may seem like a big disadvantage to some as there will be a lot of people walking around. There is also a buffet nearby, from where the smells of food can be heard, but for some this may be a plus.
  • Rows 45 and 46. The same as the previous ones. There will be a wall in front of you, a toilet room next to it - all these are, of course, disadvantages, but the advantages are legroom, the absence of neighbors in front.

In general, all seats have their advantages and disadvantages, so there are almost no best seats without any disadvantages on the Boeing 777-200. Choose places that seem convenient for you. Perhaps a toilet located close to you is a plus for someone. In addition, some parts of the interior copy each other. Some rows have similar characteristics, so choose your seat based on your location on the plane. There is less motion sickness on the wings, and the tail section has a great view. Choose everything to suit your taste.

Good places

The following places can be considered relatively good:

  • Row 12, seats A to H. This is the last row in front of the kitchen, which means you may be allowed to recline the back more. Row 14 has similar properties. But these places are located in front of the emergency exit and toilet, so people will often pass by.
  • Row 46, seats D - G. The row is located after the toilet, there is a little more legroom, but your eyes will rest against the wall.
  • Row 53, seats C and H. This is the last row, where there are three seats, and these seats can recline the back more, but at the same time flight attendants or passengers can hit you, since the passage between the seats remains narrow.
  • Rows 55 and 56. The seats are arranged in a “2-4-2” pattern; the most comfortable are the outer seats A, C, H and K. These seats are especially good if you are traveling together. The passage here widens a little.

These places also have their advantages and disadvantages, sitting here is good, but there may be some inconveniences.

Worst places

But here are the places that you should not choose under any circumstances:

  • Rows 30-39. According to reviews from passengers, air conditioning does not always work here, which means it is stuffy. Not the best option for older passengers.
  • Rows 38 and 39. You should not choose seats in the last row. Behind them is the wall of the toilet room, which means that the backrests will not recline all the way. In addition, due to your proximity to the restroom, people will crowd around you, and food and drinks will be served to you almost last.
  • Rows 57 and 58. Although the side seats in these rows are arranged in pairs, there are still disadvantages. They are similar to 38 and 39 next to each other, there is a wall behind them, the backrests recline weakly, people often pass by, and noise will be created. In addition, these are the very last rows on the plane, if the exits do not open at the back, then you will be the last to leave.

You can survive the flight in any seat, but if the choice of seat is important to you, then you should not choose these particular seats.

Conclusion

North Wind Airlines is proud of its Boeing 777-200, because they are excellent carriers of passengers over medium and long distances. Comfort and convenience will accompany you throughout the flight, but try to choose the best seats that will be convenient for you. Choose the right part of the plane. Remember, the center seats are not the most comfortable, so if you don’t have time to choose a seat on the edge, you will most likely get a seat in the center row. Although such a flight is easy to survive, the main thing is to tune in to the beautiful things and think about the upcoming vacation.

The Nord Wind company will take you to your dream, because it has been flying flights for more than 9 years and during this time has earned the love of its passengers.

interior layout, design, best seats

Nord Wind ("North Wind") is a charter airline that operates flights to destinations of the tourism operator Pegas Turistik. However, after the bankruptcy of some Russian airlines, part of their flights were transferred to Nord Wind.

Regular transportation is carried out under the low-cost system (low-budget flights), where the ticket price may not include baggage allowance or meals on board. All this is provided for an additional fee depending on the destination.

Information about the company

Nord Wind Airlines began its flight operations in 2008. Ensuring flight safety and good service is a priority. Now North Wind is among the top ten best airlines in Russia.

Nord Wind operates flights from its base airport Sheremetyevo, and in 2017 passenger traffic increased three times. Currently, the airline operates about 500 flights per week to one hundred and eighty destinations.

The aircraft fleet consists of 21 aircraft, including three B-772ERs. Initially, the airline was created exclusively for charter flights, so the cabin layout was changed from a standard one to a more practical option.

Below in the photo is a diagram of the Boeing 777-200ER cabin. Nord Wind owns two aircraft with tail numbers VP-BJF, VQ-BUD, with 387 economy class seats and 6 business class seats. The VP-BJH aircraft includes 261 economy class and 24 business class seats.

General information about the Boeing 777-200ER

Start of operation - 1995, the aircraft is a long-range wide-body twin-engine monoplane. The Boeing 777-200ER is an improved modification of the B772. It has an increased maximum permissible take-off weight - up to 247,200 kg, and a maximum flight range - up to 14 thousand km. Cabin design of the Boeing 777 200ER: comfortable luggage racks, cabin width - 5.87 m, windows - 380 x 250 mm.

The aircraft was created for transatlantic flights; its general characteristics are comfortable and quiet for long flights.

Boeing 777-200ER from Nord Wind

All three aircraft of this modification were previously operated in other countries, including Asian companies. Modifications VP-BJB and VQ-BUD first took to the air in 1998, and the VP-BJF airliner - in 2004.

  1. Boeing 777-200ER (Nord Wind) cabin layout of VP-BJB and VQ-BUD aircraft: placement of economy class seats - three, four, three; 21, 39, 54, 55, 56, 57 rows - two, four, two; in business - two, two, two. The seats in economy class are narrowed and made of lightweight material.
  2. Boeing 777-200ER (Nord Wind) cabin layout of VP-BJF aircraft: placement of economy class seats - three, three, three; 47, 58, 59 rows - two, three, two; in business - two, two, two.

The seat pitch is up to 74 cm, and the backrest angle is more limited than in similar modifications of airlines engaged only in scheduled transportation.

Evaluation of the best and worst seats in the first and second salons of VP-BJB and VQ-BUD

In the Boeing 777-200ER cabin, the best seats that do not have significant disadvantages are located in the business class cabin. A comfortable flight is ensured by: a comfortable footrest, a good backrest angle, a seat pitch of just over a meter, a large table for eating and an increased seat width (one and a half times wider than in the budget class).

Economy class starts in rows numbered 5 and 6. Pros: no front-seat passengers (which means no one will lower their seat back in front), the ability to hang a cradle for a child during a horizontal flight (therefore, such seats are often assigned to passengers with children in their arms ) and the lack of toilets and kitchens nearby, so the flight here will be more calm. The disadvantages include the small distance to the partition separating the two classes, that is, the passenger will not be able to stretch his legs forward; it is forbidden to keep hand luggage at the feet during takeoff and landing, since there is no holding mechanism in the event of sudden braking of the aircraft.

The advantages of rows 7 to 11 are that the passenger can stretch his legs under the seat in front and place his hand luggage there (if necessary).

Rows 12 and 14 complete the first economy class cabin and are considered uncomfortable, since the kitchen is located nearby, the noise and movements in which will interfere with rest. The backs of the seats are fixed, as there is a partition and an emergency exit at the back.

The second economy class cabin begins from row 20. The advantage is that there are no front-seat passengers. There are many more disadvantages here: there is no opportunity to stretch your legs, the kitchen and toilets are located nearby, the constant bustle among the crew and passengers will create significant inconvenience. Smells from the toilet are also an unpleasant addition to comfort. In addition, queues for the toilet will line up precisely near the extreme seats of this row.

The convenience of the 21st row is only in seats C and H, because there is no seat in front of them and you can stretch your legs completely, but passengers who have gone to the toilet or are simply walking around the cabin to stretch their legs will be in the way.

Due to the lack of individual air conditioners in the luggage compartments above the seats, the operation of the general air conditioning and air circulation system of this modification, the temperature in the cabin between rows 30 and 39 is higher than the standard cabin temperature. And the seats on the 39th row are considered absolutely uncomfortable due to the toilet wall and emergency exits behind the backs of the seats, so they are always fixed in an upright position.

Evaluation of the best and worst seats in the third salon VP-BJB and VQ-BUD

The third salon opens row 45. Due to the presence of an emergency exit in the front, you have the opportunity to stretch your legs, and during the flight no one will tilt the back of the seat in your direction. However, the close location of toilets (unpleasant odors and queues of people who can even stand at emergency exits) turns such a place into a problem.

In row 46, the seats located in the middle of the cabin face the wall of the toilet. Therefore, the disadvantages are unpleasant odors and the inability to stretch your legs.

Seats C and H in row 53 have more inconvenience from contact with passengers, crew and carts going to the toilet during service, since the fuselage narrows in this place.

Rows 54, 55, 56 are comfortable and consist of two seats on the sides of the cabin, respectively, there is more peace here.

The restrooms and kitchen are located next to 57 and 58, so there is no way to recline the seat, and the flight will be ruined by the constant noise and bustle in the toilet queues.

In the tail of the plane, the bumpiness during turbulence is always stronger than in the bow, and for some this is discomfort.

Characteristics of the VP-BJF board layout

The cabin layout of the Boeing 777-200ER (Nord Wind) aircraft with tail number VP-BJF is different from the previous ones. The business class cabin consists of 24 seats (from rows 11 to 16). In economy class there is increased comfort in the seat pitch, so you can lower the backrest lower. Economy class consists of only two cabins and starts with number 31. Passengers who do not have front-seating neighbors during the flight are located in rows 31 and 48, but there is more legroom here. The backs of the seats, fixed in a vertical position, are located in rows 47 and 59. In rows 47 and 48, the presence of toilet rooms is considered a minus for rest, and for row 59 - noise from the kitchen in the rear of the plane.
