This is the former first low-cost airline of the Russian Federation. Base airport: Vnukovo, Moscow. Year of foundation - 2006. The founder is Boris Abramovich, CEO of Krasnoyarsk Airlines. The first flight took place on October 27, 2006, and was a test flight. Already in November of the same year, the airline purchased its first aircraft.

The Sky Express airline's route network relied on cities with high passenger traffic, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, and Perm.

Sky Express's woes began after the 2008 economic crisis. First, the composition of the airline's shareholders changed. By the end of 2009, 75% of the shares belonged to entrepreneur Vitaly Vantsov. In October 2011, Rosaviatsiya canceled the carrier certificate of Sky Express. And on September 11, 2011, the Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Territory declared the Sky Express airline bankrupt.
