Do-it-yourself self-hook for fishing rod, spinning rod. Self-cutter for a feeder: features and rules of use Do-it-yourself self-cutter for a spinning rod

A self-cutting device for a feeder, as well as for other types of fishing gear, is an auxiliary device whose usefulness and effectiveness is determined by the time and circumstances of fishing. Such devices appeared not very long ago.

At first it was various homemade devices, which savvy fishermen invented and made for their fishing rods and hooks. Nowadays, many devices that facilitate automatic hooking of fish are produced by industrial enterprises.

Purpose of automatic undercutters

As you know, the most active and interesting part of fishing begins at the moment when the fish bites. Some fish species are careful, others not so much, and begin to taste the bait. It is at this moment that you need to make effective cutting. Such hooking is quite possible if you fish with one fishing rod, and even better - if you constantly hold it in your hands.

Important! Always, on every fishing trip, you need to take into account the physiological characteristics of the type of fish you are catching. The strength and speed with which it needs to be cut depends on this.

If you are fishing with several gear, which is often the case in feeder fishing, you simply may not have enough time to react to the bite, run to the right rod and hook.

Self-hookers for fishing, just in such cases, will be very useful. Their main purpose is hook the fish in time and with the necessary effort, even without the participation of the fisherman in this process. These devices, during a bite, provide the necessary jerk of the equipment in automatic mode. Quite often, experienced fishermen, based on a independently developed design, make a self-hook for a spinning rod with their own hands.

Types of automatic undercutters

Such devices, designed for hooking fish without the participation of a fisherman, can be equipped with absolutely any fishing rods and bottom gear. Most often by these mechanisms, depending on its design, ordinary hooks, feeder tackle and even float rods are equipped.

A self-hook designed for spinning also exists, although many anglers doubt its necessity, because spinning fishing assumes that the form is in the hands of the angler all the time. It is rational to use an automatic hook for spinning only when fishing by trolling or if the spinning rod is adapted for.

An automatic fishing rod with an automatic hooker is useful when long fishing when the angler cannot constantly be with her, as well as in the case when fishing is carried out with several (sometimes 4 - 5) rods.

Depending on their design and manufacturer, these devices are divided into the following types:

  1. Improved gear. This type includes floats and hooks, which, by making certain changes to their design, allow you to hook fish without the participation of a fisherman.
  2. Various homemade designs. As a rule, a do-it-yourself automatic fish hooker and its operation scheme are based on the same principle of operation as a regular mousetrap. The main driving force in them is either dense rubber or a tensioned spring of the required power.
  3. Industrial devices. This type includes technologically advanced mechanisms that were originally designed for a particular gear.

Fishermen often improve industrial designs of self-hookers to suit their requirements, increasing or, conversely, somewhat weakening their sensitivity and power of action.

Features of different types of undercutters

The most important characteristic in the operation of any automatic hooker is undoubtedly the force with which it affects the prey. In accordance with the required impact force, the tension power of the springs or rubber used in the device is calculated. As a rule, it is more significant the heavier the gear for which the mechanism is intended. For example, a feeder hook requires more actuation force than a hook hook with a short stick or no stick at all.

Knipovich Nikolai Mikhailovich

Zoologist, hydrobiologist. I am interested in fishing at a professional level.

Attention! As a rule, over time, springs stretch and lose some of their power. This must be taken into account when setting up the self-cutting mechanism.

It is also important to consider the force required to removing the device from the safety lock and initiating the actual cutting. Stoppers and triggers, depending on the gear, also come in different designs and power, but what is essential is that they all must be sensitive enough, this will ensure that the device responds to any, even the most careful bite.

It should be taken into account that an industrially manufactured fishing hook is designed for a specific gear, with specific requirements, only if it comes complete with this gear. The remaining industrial mechanisms, which have different principles of operation and power, must be selected for your equipment independently and, if necessary, modified.

A do-it-yourself hooker always takes into account the characteristics of the rod, the tackle for which it was conceived and made. For example, a do-it-yourself auto-hook for spinning rods must take into account the following factors:

  1. Weight and .
  2. Approximate distance for casting baits. This is important for approximate calculation of the mass of equipment in the water.
  3. When trolling - the strength of the current and the speed of the boat.
  4. The size of the expected trophies, their type, as well as how the bite of this type of fish usually occurs (carefully or quickly).

If a fisherman who independently manufactures an automatic hooker for his tackle manages to take into account all these factors and make a suitable device, the number of unnoticed or empty bites will be significantly reduced.

When making hooks intended for bottom gear, fishermen often use a variety of runners in combination with rubber bands or converted mousetraps. Also common are vertical posts that are fixed in the ground or at the side of the boat, with powerful springs and appropriate stoppers.

Standing apart, among all the devices for automatically hooking fish, are floats and hooks.

A float that promotes self-hooking of fish is, as a rule, a regular float with an elongated central rod, complemented by a disk of non-sinking material with a hole in the center for the passage of the upper part of the float rod and a special stopper (thickening) in the upper part of this rod. When biting, the main part of the float’s body goes under the water, but at the end the stopper interacts with the disk, which sharply slows down its descent under the water and promotes the fish’s self-hooking.

Self-sealing hooks have a modified shape, somewhat similar to a spring, which facilitates its deep penetration into the throat of the fish and its notching. Such hooks are produced by only a few foreign enterprises and are rarely found on sale. Their main disadvantage is that it is very difficult to free the caught fish from such a hook.

An example of a homemade self-cutting device for a feeder

Let's look at one of the options for an automatic hook hook for a feeder, in which the rod is attached to a swinging element of the stand, like a rocker arm, and hooking occurs due to spring compression. Such a mechanism can be made with your own hands. Its design and principle of operation are easy to understand by understanding the following diagram:

In fishing practice, there are devices that make this process easier. A self-hooking hook for a feeder is a simple design that allows you to place a fish on the hook of a bottom tackle without the participation of a fisherman. All that remains for him is to release the fishing line from the grip and bring the trophy ashore.

Purpose of a self-cutting device for donkey

The main task of an angler when biting a fish is to hook it in time. When bottom fishing, you must, firstly, accurately see the twitching of the fishing line or the guard, and secondly, raise the rod and give it a small jerk. If the fisherman has good reaction and dexterity, he successfully gets a trophy on the hook. All that remains is to fight.

However, there are circumstances when constant monitoring of a fishing rod or donkey is either impractical or impossible. For example:

  • the fisherman uses several gears;
  • bites are rare, and there is no need to constantly monitor the fishing line;
  • fishing occurs at night.

Self-hookers for fishing serve precisely to shift the responsibility for timely hooking to the automation. These devices must quickly respond to bites, and also at the right moment sharply pull the fishing line with the proper force. The fisherman does not take part in this process.

The principle of automatic hooking is used most often in bottom fishing; in float and spinning gear there is no need for it, since the angler here must constantly monitor the position of the nozzle or bait.

There are several designs of this device, there are those that are produced industrially, there are auto hookers made by fishermen based on their developments.

Types of automatic undercutters

All existing devices of this kind can be placed in two ways:

1. Directly on the feeder form.

The rod immediately behind the reel after casting is folded at 90 degrees, the handle is fixed in the holder, most of it is directed towards the water. When a bite occurs, the fishing line pulls the trigger or bracket, the spring is activated, and the autohook sharply lifts the rod vertically. At the moment of straightening, cutting occurs.

This option requires a very light rod and its working length is no more than 2 meters. Otherwise, the spring will not be able to lift the form and sharply pull the fishing line.

The mechanism has two drawbacks. Firstly, it is made of ordinary steel and is susceptible to corrosion. After each fishing, it must be wiped dry and thoroughly lubricated. Secondly, the spring loses its elasticity over time and you have to either look for a replacement or transfer it to a coil.

2. On a rod stand.

The principle of operation is similar to the previous one. Only here the entire form is fixed on a special bracket, which lifts it vertically. The mechanism is triggered after a sharp tension of the fishing line hooked to the trigger.

Self-hooking device of the second type, overturning the entire rod

3. In the immediate vicinity of the feeder, on the shore along the line.

The device operates like a mousetrap and is made by fishermen themselves. In the next chapter we will talk in detail about the stages of its creation.

Homemade undercutter working on the principle of a mousetrap

Constructions of the first and second types are manufactured industrially.

They are easy to install and do not require complicated installation. However, fishermen are not satisfied with one significant drawback: such a mechanism is usually configured for a specific gear and power adjustment is possible within limited limits. A cautious bite is not recorded.

The first two types of devices are difficult to manufacture independently. Therefore, a do-it-yourself self-cutter for donkey is made mainly of the third type. The fisherman is then able to pre-design and select the required force to trigger the device. The mover here can be either rubber or a steel spring.

Note! When making fishing rods with your own hands and selecting a spring, you should keep in mind the nature of the intended trophy, the sharpness of its bite and behavior when taking the bait. The more capricious the fish, the more sensitive the guard should be. The spring power remains constant.

How to make a self-cutter with your own hands

The purpose of designing undercutters for a feeder is usually summer tackle. The design of the device for winter fishing is similar to the one under consideration, but requires improvement.

Having determined what kind of fish and with what temperament to catch, they first make drawings of the device, and then begin to make a self-hooking fishing rod with their own hands.

The process is divided into the following stages:

1st stage. A base measuring 20 by 10 cm is cut out of plywood or other suitable material.

The entire device will be located on this platform, so you should choose sheets with a thickness of 10 mm or more. Subsequently, holes are drilled in the base through which pins are threaded that secure the platform to the shore.

2nd stage. Undercutters have a lever that bends from steel wire with a diameter of 4 mm (3 mm is possible).

The most successful form of undercutter is a slingshot, which does not have sharp corners or edges. A spring is wound onto the resulting lever, the material for which is steel wire with a diameter of up to 1 mm (the best performance is for wire made from a thick cable). This is done manually; with one hand, using pliers, the spring wire is clamped with a lever, and with the other, the wire is wound tightly, turn to turn. It doesn't matter which way you twist it.

Since it is this element of the mechanism that will sharply tighten the fishing line, you should carefully experimentally select the elasticity of the spring, adding turns gradually, since it is very difficult to reduce the size of the spring. The power of the device should be greater, the heavier the load at the end of the tackle. At the end of the procedure, you need to leave a section half the length of the lever, and 5-7 cm on the other to secure it from turning.

3rd stage. A trigger bracket is made on which the alarm will be installed.

The material used for it is the same as for the main lever - steel wire 3-4 mm in diameter. If you plan to take thinner material, then the stiffer it is, the better. The bending profile is visible in the photograph.

Most often, the fishing line is passed through a rubber or silicone tip. It has been learned from practice that an ordinary stationery eraser cut into two parts shows good results in this capacity. To be sure that it will not fall off with frequent use, you can reinforce it with bright electrical tape.

The bracket is attached to the base with staples made from nails without heads.

Important! The staples must be driven in so that the wire rotates freely in them. Any obstacle to the movement of the signaling device will worsen the sensitivity of the gear.

4th stage. To secure the lever to the base, you should make a mount from a small steel sheet.

Its shape is up to the fisherman. Most often it is made in the form of an inverted letter “P”. Two holes are drilled in the base for attaching it to the base, and in the sides for installing the lever. There are two ways to fix the spring, but the most practical is the console shown in this photo.

It is imperative to provide for the possibility of removing it from the grooves for additional winding or dropping the coils of the spring. This regulates the cutting power.

All that remains is to screw a small ring or hook into the base where the fishing line will be inserted - and the device is ready.

The end result should be something like this:

All that remains is to check how the device works and, if necessary, adjust the spring power.

Note! The spring of the mechanism weakens over time and requires periodic increase in power. Therefore, some supply of wire should be provided.

The disadvantages of the device include the need to release the fishing line from the ring each time before landing a fish and the fact that for the hooker to work correctly, you need a feeder weight of more than 40 grams.

Auto hooking is often used when fishing - it increases the catch, allows you to fish with a large number of gears, allows you to do something else in parallel with fishing, and also makes it possible to catch fish without being present at the moment of the bite. Of course, you will not achieve a 100% catch when biting using auto-hook, but even without it, the bite does not always end with fish in the cage. But with a good bite, the chances of hooking a fish when using automatic hooking are often greater than when hooking manually, when you may simply miss the optimal hooking time. That's what fishing is all about, anything can happen. There are various schemes for automatic hooking, all of them are easy to make, so making them yourself is not difficult, but you can also look for them in stores - for the lazy. Further material for those who want make your own auto-hook for a fishing rod or spinning rod.

Option 1

Auto hook, which can be used with any fishing rod or spinning rod, using the spring properties of the rod itself. A hooker, or rather a mechanism that, when bitten, releases the bent rod, and thereby allows you to automatically hook the fish without your intervention.
The general diagram of the operating principle of this option is shown in the figure.

The parts of the auto-cutting design are connected with wire bushings and soldered or bolted - whichever you prefer

Any material can be used - steel, galvanized steel, or better yet brass. In general, what can be found.

Connect all the parts of the homemade auto hook, pay attention to the fact that the moving parts move easily and do not get stuck anywhere; you can lubricate them with machine oil (just a little bit).

Actually, one part of the auto hook is ready. You can also make a glass where a fishing rod or spinning rod is installed yourself or buy a ready-made holder. Perhaps you already have something similar to secure your fishing rod - any option will do. For example, you can do it according to the scheme below.

All is ready. Bring the hooking mechanism you made yourself into the “fighting position” and wait for the fish on the hook.

Option 2

An American-made autocutter caught my eye. The design, like the others, is quite simple, so you can also make it yourself.

The principle of operation and method of use for fishing are clear from the pictures provided.

Don't be afraid to experiment - fishing is not only a hobby, but also creativity.

Option 3

Original float with automatic hooking

Depending on what kind of fish you catch, the tackle for the fishing rod is selected accordingly - fishing line, hooks, float. There are fish that are quite voracious and greedy. Its peculiarity is that you may not even notice that the fish is already on the hook: it pulls once, and the float stands rooted to the spot. You start to pull the line out of the water, and the fish has been sitting on the hook for a long time, so it has swallowed the bait very deeply along with the hook. It is then difficult to get the hook. You have to use tweezers or something else to get it out and free the fish.

In order not to experience such inconveniences, and to make a kind of automatic hooking, it is proposed to improve the conventional float.
We take a regular store float. Required with a thin and long top rod that ends in a thick head. To improve it, you will need a piece of foam or cork.

First, a circle with a thickness of five to ten millimeters is cut from a cork (or piece of foam plastic). Then make a hole in the center with a drill. The hole should be of such a diameter that if you put this circle on the float rod, it should move freely up and down, and the head on the rod should limit its movement. After the hole is made, you need to use a blade or sharp knife to make a slot from the hole to the edge of the circle. This is done so that the circle can be put on the float if necessary or removed when not needed. It is not advisable to paint the circle, as foreign odors in the water can repel fish.

This improvement works as follows. Some fish, such as perch or rotan, tend to grab the bait very sharply. When there is a sharp bite, the float goes under the water, and the circle stops on the surface of the water with the head of the float, thereby hooking the fish. This simple modification of the float significantly increases the catch. Quite often, hooking works when you are not near the fishing rod at all - checked. It is often useful for inexperienced, novice fishermen, as it hooks without you, especially with sharp, fast and strong bites, which are easy to miss, and then “painfully pitiful.” Good luck.

First you need to make a stand or support stand. Almost any available means can be used for this, the main thing is that it is very high, because it is on it that a short fishing rod will be attached to a thick and strong spring.

Making self-hooking spinning rods is very simple, because their design is not tricky. If you can’t find the right option for yourself in the store or like to do things with your own hands, then it’s time to get down to business. The main elements for creating such gear are: a spring, a lever and a stopper.

In a standing position, the rod should point upward, and in a bent position it can be folded in half. The post is connected to the rod using a spring. A latch, trigger and stopper are attached to the post. A fishing line passes through the tip of the rod (it should be thin), which should be pressed with a stopper.

Such a compact fishing rod has an important drawback - in a vertical position, these devices have very low stability. But doing it does not mean getting a 100% guarantee that the fishing will be successful.

When making such fishing rods, you need to consider the following nuances:

  • length and weight;
  • the strength of the current and the speed of the boat;
  • the distance to which the bait is thrown;
  • type and size of potential prey;
  • nature of the bite (fast or cautious).

How to set up a self-hooking spinning rod

The main advantage of a fishergoman fishing rod with a self-cutting mechanism is that it has a high strength of its design, which gives an almost 100% guarantee of catching even the most obstinate prey.

The miniature size and low weight (compared to the fact that some fishing rods are quite heavy) are a big plus of the design, because the rod has good flexibility and strength, which means that even the largest fish can be pulled ashore.

Each package with a FisherGoMan fishing rod, no matter what the price, must be accompanied by instructions, which clearly outline the rigging process:

  1. To begin with, you should straighten all the elements by simply pulling the tip of this device.
  2. Next you need to install the coil and check its serviceability.

Voila, you can use the design and start fishing for your own pleasure. Just remember to check the operation of the mechanism and how correctly it is secured.

There are several types of self-cutting fishing rods, which differ in their design features:

Which option to choose for yourself is up to you. The main thing is that it is suitable for specific purposes and fulfills its duties.

Factory devices

Self-hooking fishing rods are manufactured by enterprises, so they look technologically advanced and neat. All products are either folding fishing rods or telescopic forms mounted on movable stands - levers. The jerk of the line here is carried out by a spring, straightening the rod.

If we mean a folding form (generally called FisherGoMan), then the working element of the self-cutting device is a spring located near the reel seat. In the ready-for-fishing position, the rod is folded at 90 degrees near the handle, the fishing line is inserted into a trigger or ring, which holds the structure in this state.

As soon as the line is stretched, the bracket jumps off the latch and the form straightens.

You can find out more about the characteristics of the FisherGoMan automatic fishing rod here.

In Russia, such mechanisms have recently been called “Chinese fishing rods” since they are distributed in most cases through the Aliexpress portal.

When using a hooking stand, after casting the rod is placed on an already loaded device, the line is inserted into the trigger guard, which is adjusted in such a way that when pulled, it releases the lever and it lifts the blank up.

A spinning rod for a self-hooker is selected based on the following requirements for the form:

  • it should be straight and smooth, without cracks or burrs;
  • wire rings are in good working order, have no slits or notches in the ceramic inner insert;
  • the rod's structure is average, the flexibility of the tip is not desirable, otherwise the hook may be slow with a smooth force (therefore, an auto hook for the feeder is not used);
  • the bend of the blank is uniform along the entire length, this quality is achieved on fiberglass or carbon fiber rods;
  • rod test - depends on the weight of the intended trophy.

The listed qualities of the tackle are determined by the loads that the form receives when straightened. The fisherman has to select its characteristics in such a way that the fishing line is not damaged when passing through the rings, the hook is sharp, but up to a certain limit, beyond which the depreciation of the whip begins.

Its excessive rigidity is also harmful: without shock absorption, the “stick” can tear the tackle if a snag occurs.

Recently, other designs have appeared that are attached directly to the fishing rod. The principle of operation is a little similar to a stapler. There is a spring inside the lower part, and a roller is attached to the end of the trigger bracket through which the fishing line is passed. When hooking, the bracket moves, disengages from the lower part of the hook, and the entire upper part sharply straightens, jerking the tackle.

Homemade mechanisms

Most of the devices that fishermen make on their own are based on the operating principle of a mousetrap. As soon as a bite occurs, the stretched fishing line slightly moves the bracket with an elastic band at the end and releases the lever, which makes the hook.

The device is located on the shore, and to prevent the wooden base from moving arbitrarily, it is secured to the ground with pins.

The best models of self-hooking spinning rods

In the meantime, before heading to the store for a new self-hooking fishing rod, you need to study the designs that are popular among anglers. This question can be answered by Sergei Fedorov, who invented his own fishing rod based on store-bought options. It can be used as a main stand on the bank without automatic hooking, or as a spinning rod with an automatic hooking function.

Its undercutter is an elastic band with two support pegs. A more detailed diagram of its manufacture can be seen in the author's video.

Fishergoman fishing rods are very popular due to their compactness. The actions it performs are performed automatically, i.e. independent control of bites and hooking at the right moment without the participation of the owner.

The fishing rod begins to catch, the fish at this moment grabs the spoon, pulling the fishing line, thereby activating a special mechanism. The fisherman will only have to remove the resulting trophy from the reservoir.

An equally popular option is the self-hooking fishing rod SUR-300. It works both for lifting and tightening. It is designed for catching prey in the winter season. There are two operation modes: manual and semi-automatic. In addition, the duration of the bite is regulated by installing the nod holder in a certain position.

Why do you need an automatic hook hook for fishing?

If you use several bottom gear when fishing, or the fisherman is simply distracted, you may miss the moment of a good bite. This is where self-cutters for donkeys come in handy. They will be able to hook the fish in time without the participation of the fisherman - the structure will make an automatic jerk. Fishing specialists can make a hook hook for a bottom fishing rod with their own hands.

Types of automatic undercutters

Such devices can be installed on any fishing rod. Most often they are installed on simple hooks, feeders or fishing rods with floats. An automatic hooker for spinning becomes appropriate if a feeder tackle is installed on the rod.

Automatic undercutters can be installed:

  1. On or near the rod. With this option, the fishing line will be tensioned using a rubber cord. If you don't have one, a simple rubber band will do. You will also need steel wire (or a simple paper clip) to make the lever. A fishing line will be attached to one side of it, and a stretched rubber cord will be attached to the other. The lever will be located in the first ring of the fishing rod. If the line pull is horizontal, the lever will pop out of the ring. Then the elastic band will contract, and the fishing line will stretch behind it.
  2. On a leash. Hooking takes place right in the water. The hooking mechanism will be created on the basis of rubber or spring. At the moment of the bite, one of the tense ends of the lever will be released. After the lever straightens, it will make a sharp jerk, and the fish will be out of the water.

Both options allow you to increase your fish catch several times. The main thing is that the mechanism for their operation is installed correctly.

Fishermen are constantly improving designs, making them as convenient as possible for their fishing rods. Some make them with their own hands from available materials, others buy ready-made undercutters to modify the mechanism.

There are several types of automatic cutters:

  1. Improved tackle. Some changes are being made to the design of the hook and float, thanks to which the hooking will be automatic.
  2. Homemade design. A self-made automatic hooker is similar in principle to a mousetrap: its movement is based on either rubber or spring.
  3. Industrial undercutters. These designs are made for specific gear.

Anglers can buy an industrial kit and customize it as they wish.

Today, anglers use several types of self-launching devices for fishing rods. Each of them is designed for specific fishing conditions and has a number of characteristics.

The most popular option is a “mousetrap”-like mechanism. Despite the simplicity of the design, it copes with its tasks perfectly and prevents fish from falling off the hook.

After the fish swallows the bait, the line will begin to quickly tighten, which will trigger the trigger. To tension the lever, a spring is used, through which the fishing line is instantly fixed.

This is what will allow you to perform an accurate and tight hook. The mechanism itself is located on a piece of thick plywood or other material.

To make it yourself, you must follow these instructions:

Building a highly effective fishing rod with a self-clipping mechanism is not difficult at all. To do this, you need to carefully follow the instructions, accurately performing each step-by-step action. In this case, the homemade mechanism will work no worse than an expensive factory model.

A fishing rod with an automatic hooker has the following operating principle: when a fish approaches the bait, takes it and begins to swim away, the fishing line is tightened. At a certain tension force, a special bracket disengages from the bracket and a spring attached to it sharply straightens the working element, supporting the tackle. Thus, the fish hooks itself.

The working element can be:

  • long bracket if the device is based on the mousetrap principle;
  • self-cutting bracket attached to a fishing rod with a roller at the end;
  • rod, if hooking is done by sharply raising the blank.

The line tension is adjusted in such a way that even a weak bite will trigger the action, but wind and waves would not be able to do this.

Fishing - a great form of recreation, but it takes a lot of time to be on the shore and hold a fishing rod in your hands. Fishermen often go out to eat, chat with friends or just relax. And at such moments the fishing stops. To be able to sometimes move away and not watch the bite, automatic hookers were invented. One of them -self-cutter for donkey.

If used when fishing some , or the fisherman is simply distracted, you may miss the moment of a good bite.This is where they come in handyself-cutters for donkeys. They will be able to hook the fish in time without the participation of the fisherman - the structure will make an automatic jerk. Fishing experts are able to dodo-it-yourself hook for bottom fishing rod.

  1. Fishing rod;
  2. A mount that will hold the fishing rod (consists of two parts - the front bracket and the main part);
  3. Fastening part (connects the bracket and the main part, is responsible for lifting the fishing rod);
  4. Rear bracket;
  5. Spring of a certain power;
  6. Shock-absorbing rubber;
  7. Holes on the main part of the mount;
  8. Shackle axis;
  9. Rubber that is attached to the bracket body;
  10. The trigger is made of steel (with a bend at the top so that the guard can slide off when cutting);
  11. Attaching the bracket to the main part;
  12. Fishing line;
  13. Coil;
  14. Tackle.

The entire structure is fixed in the ground. Sensitivity will depend on the trigger.
