There are also special rules for returning tickets for intercity and international buses. They are described in the Charter of Road Transport and Urban Ground Electric Transport. According to the document, the passenger has the right to return the ticket minus 25 percent of its cost if the vehicle is late for departure within three hours or due to illness or accident within three days from the date of departure. With a 25% surcharge in these cases, you can get a ticket for another bus.

With air tickets, everything is more complicated, since the amount of compensation for a returned ticket depends on its fare. Typically, the cheapest tickets have the most stringent refund policies.
