Moscow City Day 2017: authorities will spend about 740 million rubles

According to RBC, Moscow authorities plan to spend about 741.9 million rubles on celebrating City Day on September 9–10. Until Monday, bus M1 will run from Kravchenko Street to the Udarnik cinema, M10 - from Lobnenskaya Street to the Mayakovskaya metro station, 101 and 904 - to the Belorussky Station, and H1 will run on sections from Ozernaya Street to the Udarnik Cinema and from Sheremetyevo airport to Belorussky railway station.

Buses M3 will travel from the Semenovskaya metro station to the Lubyanka metro station, and M6 - from the Silicate Plant to the Krasnopresnenskaya metro station, M2 - from the Fili stop to the Lenin Library. No. 144 - from the Teply Stan metro station to the Udarnik cinema, H2 - from Belovezhskaya street to the Lenin Library metro station.

Buses on route No. 38 will run from Rizhsky railway station to Trubnaya metro station from 11 a.m. until the end of sporting events. Until then, they will only travel to Samotechnaya Square.

Routes T13 and No. 24 will also go to Samotechnaya Square. The changes will take effect from 11:30 on Saturday. On September 9 from 10:30 and on September 10 from 9:30 buses on route A will transport passengers from Luzhniki to Nikitskie Vorota Square.

From 12:30 and 13:30 this weekend, buses No. 255, heading towards Luzhniki, will travel along Prechistenskaya Embankment and Soimonovsky Proezd instead of Lenivka and Volkhonka.

From eight in the evening on September 9 until the last fireworks salute, buses will travel only from Luzhniki to the Kropotkinskaya metro station. From half past eight the next morning, buses No. 15 will run from VDNH to Krasnoproletarskaya Street.

On Sunday from 11:00 M9 buses will travel from the Kitay-Gorod metro station along Maroseyka, Pokrovka and the Garden Ring to Mira Avenue.

On September 9, the capital will celebrate its 870th birthday. Hundreds of festive events have been prepared for citizens, which will take place at more than 300 citywide, district and district venues.

On Saturday, the celebration will end with colorful fireworks. At 21:00 the Moscow sky will light up with many colorful lights. Muscovites will see glowing peonies, chrysanthemums, snakes, and hearts. A total of 20 thousand salvos will be fired. 30 sites were prepared for the launch of fireworks.

Fireworks among the greenery

Fireworks on a smaller scale will be launched on September 9 from 17 sites in the green areas of the city. In the Central District, volleys of fire can be seen in Muzeon, Krasnaya Presnya Park, Hermitage Garden, Bauman Garden, Tagansky Park. Residents of NEAD will be able to admire fireworks in Babushkinsky, Goncharovsky and Lianozovsky parks.

In the Eastern District, sites for launching fireworks will appear in Izmailovsky, Perovsky, Sokolniki and Lilac Garden parks. In the South-Eastern Administrative District they will be placed in the parks of the 850th anniversary of Moscow and Kuzminki. There will be one site each in the Southern, Southwestern and Northwestern districts. Fireworks will be launched in the parks "Sadovniki" (Southern Administrative District), Vorontsovsky (Southern Western Administrative District) and "Northern Tushino" (Northern Western Administrative District).

Pyrotechnic panels

Spectators will be delighted not only with colorful volleys in the sky. Three-meter pyrotechnic panels with the number 870 will also be installed at 12 sites. They will light up simultaneously with the launch of fireworks.
